<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://www.mellsavon.com/anu/products/#sec1" target="_blank">Mellsavon á nu Body Wash 980yen</a></span><br />
<br />
Sometimes Japanese brands take the beauty products to the next level. There are many 'weird and gimmicky but unique and interesting' products in Japan that often WOW my friends and clients from overseas. Mellsavon á nu Body Wash is definitely one of them, because I am pretty sure this kind of product does not exist in most countries -except Korea, they come up with crazy ideas!<br />
<br />
What makes this shower gel special is the packaging. Did you notice that the product is not in a typical plastic bottle but in a plastic bag instead?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jEI-49moF2w/WQ8QJoLa3pI/AAAAAAAAIY0/aTJgKmiPPRAIaiRKQvf5CRa7U-T2dsUwQCPcB/s1600/P1860236.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jEI-49moF2w/WQ8QJoLa3pI/AAAAAAAAIY0/aTJgKmiPPRAIaiRKQvf5CRa7U-T2dsUwQCPcB/s1600/P1860236.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
That is the secret. The product comes like this -shower gel in a plastic bag, a pump and a plastic frame. So the idea is that the formula is in an air-tight bag so that it never touches the air, which made them possible to put multiple active ingredients that are prone to oxidation such as rice bran oil, apple derived polyphénol, olive oil, and vitamins.<br />
<br />
The shower gel comes in two different types, one is Smooth Moisture which is the one I've got, and another is Rich Moisture in a pick packaging. They also have two types of face wash that have a special packaging to prevent oxidation.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-uf7s6nohIcc/WQ8QKKc0oiI/AAAAAAAAIY8/ob_YLH8Lm-IXpLkJfdpGfmebr-cn_u7WgCPcB/s1600/P1860231.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-uf7s6nohIcc/WQ8QKKc0oiI/AAAAAAAAIY8/ob_YLH8Lm-IXpLkJfdpGfmebr-cn_u7WgCPcB/s1600/P1860231.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
You simply remove the sticker on the plastic bag, set it in the plastic frame and insert the pump. Since both the pump and the plastic bag are specially made, air does not get into the bag.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AjIljpUZp4Q/WQ8QK3hF2VI/AAAAAAAAIY0/pYCeV9wlVtAmzLFteZJl02rj5fX_f57BgCPcB/s1600/P1860262.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AjIljpUZp4Q/WQ8QK3hF2VI/AAAAAAAAIY0/pYCeV9wlVtAmzLFteZJl02rj5fX_f57BgCPcB/s1600/P1860262.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
Smooth Moisture feels moisturising on the skin yet very refreshing -I imagine Rich Moisture is even more moisturising as the name suggests. The scent is supposed to be a blend of Ylang Ylang and Mimosa, but to me it smells like grapefruits...maybe the yellow packaging is influencing my nose.<br />
<br />
I like how refreshing it feels, especially now that it's getting hotter and more humid, I like this kind of shower gel. It does not leave my skin feel tight which is also good. More than anything, I like the idea as it's very unique. Japanese people like air-tight packaging as now even soy sauce comes in it!<br />

<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://flowfushi-store.jp/products/detail.php?product_id=129" target="_blank">Flowfushi Mote-Liner in Cherry Cheek 1,500yen</a></span></b><br />
<br />
Whenever I take friends or clients from overseas to my favourite drugstore in Harajuku, Ainz-Tulpe, 90% of them would ask me 'Is this a good brand?' with a mascara or eyeliner from Flowfushi in hand. You would spot Flowfushi everywhere in Japan and it's hard to ignore. I believe they are one of the best-selling Japanese drugstore brands, and they have a very good reputation.<br />
<br />
However, I always answer 'It's popular but I personally am not a big fan' to the question, because that's the truth. They are selling well but I haven't had a good experience with their products. First of all, let me tell you something about their best-selling Mote Mascara. They have 4 different types of mascara and one mascara base. I've tried a couple of them but the only one I kind of liked was the base. It's blue which makes your eyes standout, and I liked the unique concept. However, the mascaras were not good at all in my opinion. If you like Dejavu, which is another mascara I have no idea why have a good reputation, then you might like Mote Mascara too. It sticks your lashes together and make you look like you only have 4 lashes each eye. Not my type at all.<br />
<br />
But what I didn't like the most is Mote Liner. I tried it in black and brown when it came out, and I hated them. Firstly, it did not dispense the ink evenly. Sometimes I ended up with a super thick liner just because the ink came out a lot suddenly. Another time the ink didn't come out that I had to keep shaking whilst drawing the line which resulted in a horrible look. Then, the eyeliner dried out within 10 days or so. I tried the hacks hoping they would bring the eyeliner back to life, but nothing did. That happened to 4 or 5 of my Mote Liner, and I finally decided not to purchase their products ever.<br />
<br />
But when I saw Mote Liner in this limited shade Cherry Cheek in March, I couldn't resist. I knew Mote Liner might let me down again, but the shade looked too pretty not to give it a go. And it's only 1500yen. Why not?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-loupfUHdA0k/WQ7hrlH6aPI/AAAAAAAAIYI/C6Z2WLI5ZIsu8U6AQSh0gTOqKcO1TZzqwCLcB/s1600/P1830629.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-loupfUHdA0k/WQ7hrlH6aPI/AAAAAAAAIYI/C6Z2WLI5ZIsu8U6AQSh0gTOqKcO1TZzqwCLcB/s1600/P1830629.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
I instantly fell in love with this beautiful shade. It's somewhere in-between pink, red and orange. I have never seen any other brands with this kind of shade of eyeliner. It's such a unique and sophisticated shade.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nuqMG0z-RA8/WQ7hsdxJs9I/AAAAAAAAIYQ/KgYJ8GkgCJckM8s4CBdcWgnioywnpWV-QCLcB/s1600/P1830912%2Bcopy.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nuqMG0z-RA8/WQ7hsdxJs9I/AAAAAAAAIYQ/KgYJ8GkgCJckM8s4CBdcWgnioywnpWV-QCLcB/s1600/P1830912%2Bcopy.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pyqm5VSXouA/WQ7hsgLmeQI/AAAAAAAAIYU/3eELY4RHV7gCvu44oJRByo9gX38iKYRRgCLcB/s1600/P1830918%2Bcopy.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pyqm5VSXouA/WQ7hsgLmeQI/AAAAAAAAIYU/3eELY4RHV7gCvu44oJRByo9gX38iKYRRgCLcB/s1600/P1830918%2Bcopy.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
How pretty is that? I am truly obsessed with this eyeliner. And as you can see in the photos above, it draws a perfect line without fail. It allows me to draw thick and thin lines very easily, and never budges on my eyes. It stays vibrant all day and does not make me look like I have an eye infection! It goes well with a simple makeup like the one I'm waring in the photos, or you can go really bold with orange or pink eyeshadows.<br />
<br />
It has not been dried out after 2 months, which makes me wonder if the ones I have tried were from a bad batch and were defective. Have you tried Mote Liner before? How did you get on if you have?<br />

<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://www.obagi.co.jp/c-in-wash/" target="_blank">Obagi C Powder Wash 1,800yen</a></b></span><br />
Obagi is a Japanese brand founded by Dr. Obagi and Rohto, one of the most famous drugmakers in Japan in 2001. They are known for their Vitamin C Serum which was an innovative product back in those days as it contains pure Vitamin C in high concentration. After 16 years, their serums are still selling well and Obagi as a brand remains well-known.<br />
<br />
They recently brought out this new product called Powder Wash, which looks very similar to <b><a href="http://www.kanebo-cosmetics.jp/suisai/" target="_blank">Beauty Clear Powder from suisai </a></b>which has been super popular especially among tourists from China. This is basically enzyme powder that removes excess sebum on your skin that causes clogged pores. The biggest difference is that Obagi C Powder Wash contains Vitamin C to moisturise and clear up the skin along with enzyme.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_X6b7g4IXWs/WQ35ZWp3udI/AAAAAAAAIXk/paSYDlIr2joMXKuc88ikt6qr42B4eV8mgCLcB/s1600/P1810931.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_X6b7g4IXWs/WQ35ZWp3udI/AAAAAAAAIXk/paSYDlIr2joMXKuc88ikt6qr42B4eV8mgCLcB/s1600/P1810931.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
One pack comes with 30 little portions. I find it very handy because you can simply take one or two when you travel, rather than carrying the big heavy jar like <b><a href="https://www.tatcha.com/shop/classic-rice-enzyme-powder" target="_blank">Rice Enzyme Powder from Tatcha</a></b> (which is an amazing product, too!). Also it's good to know how much you are supposed to use at a time.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-w5PifGZ_6MQ/WQ35ZevRdlI/AAAAAAAAIXg/dgXwTWRGmJU9RAze30786u5YKmeBAmVIgCLcB/s1600/P1810932.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-w5PifGZ_6MQ/WQ35ZevRdlI/AAAAAAAAIXg/dgXwTWRGmJU9RAze30786u5YKmeBAmVIgCLcB/s1600/P1810932.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
The powder is very fine and is not scented. Simply take the powder in the palm, add a little bit of warm water and make it into paste. You can use a net to create fluffy and bouncy foam with it too if that is what you prefer. Keep in mind that you just need a tiny bit of water -2-3 drops to be specific!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GvSi2NicgtE/WQ35adYa6MI/AAAAAAAAIXs/kFO2B2To61M-7aQaQdMcaE3_XItI8AX7gCLcB/s1600/P1810945.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GvSi2NicgtE/WQ35adYa6MI/AAAAAAAAIXs/kFO2B2To61M-7aQaQdMcaE3_XItI8AX7gCLcB/s1600/P1810945.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
Gently massage the clean skin with the paste or foam, whichever you like, and rinse with warm water. You will feel the instant effect because enzyme removes excess sebum and old protein in the pores and leave the skin feel clean and moisturised. It's kind of shocking how smooth it makes my skin feels just by one use. I let my husband try it and he was impressed too that I gave him the whole pack. I am not sure how often you are supposed to use it, but it does not replace your daily cleansing step. I use it once or twice a week whenever my skin feels oily or unstable.<br />
<br />
Obagi C is widely available in Japan, mainly at Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Loft, Tokyu Hands, Ainz-Tulpe, Plaza and Tomods.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://fasio.jp/catalog/mascara/mascara_base_long/" target="_blank">Fasio Mascara Base Long 1,100yen</a></b></span></div>
One of the reasons why I am not a big fan of Japanese mascaras is because most of them contain fibres. They are contained intending to make your lashes longer, but they make my lashes look super wonky and strange. Which is why I usually try to avoid any mascaras that have a word "fibre' written proudly on the packaging.<br />
<br />
But this mascara base is an exception. It's full of fibres that you can actually see white fibres stuck on your lashes when applied -not my cup of tea at all. But hear me out, it makes my lashes look AMAZING. And it makes any mascaras waterproof. Magical, huh?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-exAYsx3KmYo/WQ3f6MapzkI/AAAAAAAAIXQ/m_tm5JjrVzAGwQ5dZ5-LXdQWeGzlofuIACEw/s1600/P1780546.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-exAYsx3KmYo/WQ3f6MapzkI/AAAAAAAAIXQ/m_tm5JjrVzAGwQ5dZ5-LXdQWeGzlofuIACEw/s1600/P1780546.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
Fasio is a Japanese drugstore brand that I can't care less. They have been around for decades but they barely come out with an amazing product in my opinion. Though their mascaras have a good reputation, I personally have never been a fan of them, and again I couldn't care less about the brand at all.<br />
<br />
They brought out two types of mascara base this year. One is 'LONG' which I am writing about at the moment, and another is 'VOLUME' which, like the name suggests, claims to make your lashes voluminous.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xCJobC266Uk/WQ3f5_zMFEI/AAAAAAAAIXQ/sOgFZNhcwZMbDyxrSB06vjnOz1Vg18kGQCEw/s1600/P1780554.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xCJobC266Uk/WQ3f5_zMFEI/AAAAAAAAIXQ/sOgFZNhcwZMbDyxrSB06vjnOz1Vg18kGQCEw/s1600/P1780554.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
As you can see the formula is white, and it does make your lashes look white once applied. I pay extra attention to apply mascara on top not to miss any little spot otherwise I would end up with white lashes peeking through.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EWllLDQSLUg/WQ3f7BujdUI/AAAAAAAAIXY/O7pNStVG7MwZ55M6o2VvbpHYvy3TXJGhACEw/s1600/P1790524.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EWllLDQSLUg/WQ3f7BujdUI/AAAAAAAAIXY/O7pNStVG7MwZ55M6o2VvbpHYvy3TXJGhACEw/s1600/P1790524.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
I apply this mascara base after curing my lashes with Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler. Sometimes I warm up the eyelash curler with a hair dryer to make it easier. The important thing is that you must apply mascara before the base dries to avoid getting clumps. And believe me, the base dries pretty quickly!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jcGBOFTsQ2k/WQ3f7XJG57I/AAAAAAAAIXQ/STDFA9gZIu0RQ8-wxZQF303ViBrMg2MGgCEw/s1600/P1790533.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jcGBOFTsQ2k/WQ3f7XJG57I/AAAAAAAAIXQ/STDFA9gZIu0RQ8-wxZQF303ViBrMg2MGgCEw/s1600/P1790533.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Gwj4yUky1A8/WQ3f7kGUTKI/AAAAAAAAIXY/BYZU9CLcYhQVWz7O4okuRurcX6fTtXpmwCEw/s1600/P1790539.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Gwj4yUky1A8/WQ3f7kGUTKI/AAAAAAAAIXY/BYZU9CLcYhQVWz7O4okuRurcX6fTtXpmwCEw/s1600/P1790539.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
Not only does it make my lashes longer, but it makes them look thicker and fuller. I like paring it with False Lash Sculpt Mascara from L'Oreal because it smudges so bad on me when worn on its own (is it just me or this mascara never dries on the lashes and they feel sticky all day...?). No mascara would smudge when paired with this base, instead you'd need an eye makeup remover or cleansing oil!<br />
<br />
I never pair the base with Better Than Sex Mascara or Velvet Noir Mascara as I love how they look alone and they don't smudge anyway, but it's really handy to wear underneath mascara that doesn't get along with my lashes. For only 1,100yen, I think it's a nice product to have in your collection. Fasio is available at drugstores such as Matsumoto Kiyoshi.<br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://www.celebeauty.co.jp/SHOP/onec-6.html" target="_blank">+OneC Premium Hydrogel Eye Patch 2,600yen</a>*</b></span><br />
As you know, we have tons of different kinds of face mask in Asia -especially in Japan and Korea. Normally I do not like Korean beauty products because they break me out nine times out of ten. Korean products are said to be very effective which made them popular among western people, but the reason why they are effective is because they are high in active-ingredients content. Their Pharmaceutical Affairs Law isn't as strict as it is in Japan (I am not sure about comparison with the western law), meaning it is possible for them to put more of active ingredients, which can irritate sensitive skin sometimes. My colleague who was living in Korea for years told me that most of Korean friends of hers used Japanese skincare products rather than Korean ones, because they find Japanese ones much higher quality, and they did not understand the recent hype of Korean beauty in the western countries.<br />
<br />
I do not have sensitive skin particularly, but Korean products often break me out. I can deal with some spots and pimples, but I was shocked to see my skin under the eyes started peeling off after using an eye cream from a Korean natural beauty brand. Since then I have been extra careful when it comes to Korean skincare products -I have been trying my best to avoid them to be specific.<br />
<br />
When I got +OneC Premium Hydrogel Eye Patch, I was skeptical because the product was made in Korea. I was ready to face the terrible state of my skin. However, I find this product rather brilliant. After a bit of research, I found out that their products are made in Korea but are produced and developed by a Japanese company. Ah that makes sense!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2gTH8tXH4Z4/WJadHS67AdI/AAAAAAAAISk/6NH3UH91KssKzPiU8IUXt5M1BbFwhO3aQCEw/s1600/P1750544.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2gTH8tXH4Z4/WJadHS67AdI/AAAAAAAAISk/6NH3UH91KssKzPiU8IUXt5M1BbFwhO3aQCEw/s1600/P1750544.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
+OneC's products are hybrid Korean-Japanese beauty. Korean brands come up with unexpected and outrageous ideas whereas Japanese brands can be pretty conservative yet very careful with ingredients. When those two elements meet, the world is introduced to something completely new and innovative.<br />
<br />
Put the longest intro aside, let's get into the product review. +OneC Premium Hydrogel Eye Patch is such an amazing under eye mask hydrates the skin instantly. The masks contain bird's nest extract, horse placenta, aloe, cucumber, CoQ10, ceramide, hyaluronic acid and collagen -which all said to have anti-aging properties.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SIjtW5a-BoI/WJadId7FiVI/AAAAAAAAISk/x1pXwmIfSgsdHBUg7x9wxtFAtJKSSLE7QCEw/s1600/P1750569.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SIjtW5a-BoI/WJadId7FiVI/AAAAAAAAISk/x1pXwmIfSgsdHBUg7x9wxtFAtJKSSLE7QCEw/s1600/P1750569.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
This jelly like texture is due to the fact the masks are made with agar which slowly melts on the skin. You can actually melt the masks after use in the bath to make the most of its benefit. The masks can be used under the eyes and around the mouth to prevent smile lines which Japanese people tend to hate.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Y63b7elidfY/WJadIVi2lWI/AAAAAAAAISk/p2tRqq-fnx8b0ay9VlYo9IedSLPspe1wwCEw/s1600/P1770707.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Y63b7elidfY/WJadIVi2lWI/AAAAAAAAISk/p2tRqq-fnx8b0ay9VlYo9IedSLPspe1wwCEw/s1600/P1770707.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
The mask sits on the skin without discomfort -for about 5 minutes. It slowly dries out and starts peeling off from the side of the nose as you can see in the photo (and this is when <a href="https://www.amazon.co.jp/%E3%82%B7%E3%83%AA%E3%82%B3%E3%83%B3%E6%BD%A4%E3%83%9E%E3%82%B9%E3%82%AF-%E3%83%95%E3%82%A7%E3%82%A4%E3%82%B9%E3%83%9E%E3%82%B9%E3%82%AF-%E3%83%94%E3%83%B3%E3%82%AF%EF%BC%8F%E7%99%BD-DAISO-Silicone-Reused-Moisturizing/dp/B00GN2BYY0" style="font-weight: bold;" target="_blank">the silicone mask </a>from Daiso comes in handy), but hydrates instantly that you do not need to leave it on the skin for more than 5 minutes. I tend to use this mask in the morning before makeup, to hydrate and prep the skin before piling on tons of concealers.<br />
<br />
Having 60 sheets come in one container with a spatula, 2600yen is not too expensive in my opinion. The fresh scent is very subtle that I do not feel uncomfortable putting around my eyes. However, the skin under the eyes is the thinnest on the face, so you might want to be extra careful if you are sensitive to fragrance. They also have a <b><a href="http://www.celebeauty.co.jp/SHOP/onec-7.html" target="_blank">jelly face mask</a></b> that I loved too. If you have sensitive skin that prone to break out by using Korean beauty products, why not try +OneC to see if your skin likes it?<br />

<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-M0poMq8DPY4/WIyKwTcmsRI/AAAAAAAAIR0/2jYAGvD0ZvELFmw0sSOfW21EDFRz7UM-ACLcB/s1600/P1740693.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-M0poMq8DPY4/WIyKwTcmsRI/AAAAAAAAIR0/2jYAGvD0ZvELFmw0sSOfW21EDFRz7UM-ACLcB/s1600/P1740693.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://www.visee.jp/mascara/lash_volume_mania.html" target="_blank">Visée Lash Volume Mania Mascara in Burgundy 1,400yen</a></b></span><br />
It's actually a while ago, but a popular drugstore makeup brand Visée launched the winter collection includes glittery face powder called Innocent Veil Powder and some limited shades of lipstick and eyeshadow palette. But the only product attracted me was this mascara. They brought out two limited shades of the mascara, one is navy blue and another is burgundy. As I am a warm-tone kind of girl, I picked up burgundy.<br />
<br />
Before I start my review on this mascara, I must tell you one thing -I am not a big fan of Japanese mascara. Most of Japanese mascaras have fibres that tend to make your lashes wonky, and most likely pretty wet that stick the lashes together which makes you look like you only have 5 lashes each eye. For that reason I gravitate towards western mascaras. The only Japanese mascaras that separate my lashes are Integrate <b><a href="https://www.shiseido.co.jp/ie/items/0028/" target="_blank">Matsuiku Girls' Lash Otemba Curl</a></b> and <b><a href="http://www.isehan.co.jp/heroine/items/point/mascara/1144/" target="_blank">Heroin Make Long & Curl Mascara Super Water Proof</a></b>. But for some reason, Japanese people LOVE this kind of formula -both Mote Mascara and Dejavu Mascara, the best-selling mascaras in Japan, stick the lashes together.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W2gt8pNNaOg/WIyKwN9lVUI/AAAAAAAAIRw/yFVwHPZS2JYAQN6dYSCAGveSdiubbKhJgCEw/s1600/P1740690.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W2gt8pNNaOg/WIyKwN9lVUI/AAAAAAAAIRw/yFVwHPZS2JYAQN6dYSCAGveSdiubbKhJgCEw/s1600/P1740690.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
So bear that in mind that it might just be my personal preference, but I am not a huge fan of this mascara though the shade is gorgeous! The brush is a traditional mascara brush which looked promising when I had a look at the store, that gave me confidence that the mascara would be separating. However, it instantly sticks the lashes and even a little comb wouldn't help to separate them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kJOfhZggFNY/WIyKwofafpI/AAAAAAAAIR4/NO5ofCDi4i0Knpx-LHtwyb241leOn_1IwCEw/s1600/P1740512.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kJOfhZggFNY/WIyKwofafpI/AAAAAAAAIR4/NO5ofCDi4i0Knpx-LHtwyb241leOn_1IwCEw/s1600/P1740512.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
Though it's called 'Volume Maniac', I don't find it volumising at all. It makes my lashes look longer, but definitely not voluminous. However, I LOVE the colour of this mascara -not bold that you can wear on your top and bottom lashes on a daily basis, but gives a little something to the whole look. It's truly a shame that the texture isn't my favourite, because the shade is absolutely gorgeous. I tend to wear it on my bottom lashes only, and use a different mascara on my top lashes (my favourite mascara at the moment is Better Than Sex Mascara Waterproof).<br />
<br />
I am glad to try out this mascara, but still wish the formula was a little different! Do you like coloured mascara? Let me know on Twitter or Instagram!<br />

<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1gJcp5Ec4Mc/WGi44ebFp-I/AAAAAAAAIO0/EsehHVPqqGodGhf-c1k6K3fnZOv0NjMxgCLcB/s1600/P1760931.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1gJcp5Ec4Mc/WGi44ebFp-I/AAAAAAAAIO0/EsehHVPqqGodGhf-c1k6K3fnZOv0NjMxgCLcB/s1600/P1760931.JPG" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2016 became the year I will remember forever. It passed in the blink of an eye, but it was a very hard one at the same time. No wonder, because it was my Yaku year. Yaku means badluck / unluckiness in Japanese, and Yaku year is an unlucky year as you may imagine. For a girl, the age of 19, 33, 37 and 61 are Yaku years but bare in mind that you must add one year to your actual age -don't ask me why because I have no idea. So I was 32+1=33 in 2016, meaning it was my biggest Yaku year. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Which kind of explains why quite a few upsetting things happened throughout the year -there was an incident that affected my financial situation massively, I got mugged and lost my phones, camera, all the photos taken in London by then and beautiful makeup products I was carrying around, then my father passed away while I was away from Japan, I was taken to hospidal by ambulance and I decided to leave the company I worked for quite a few years due to harassment. What a year.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It sounds like a horrible year but to me, it was 'the year of change'. Many things ended and the same amount of things started. I finally was able to spend enough time in London to judge whether I really liked the life in the U.K. which was my dream of 17 years. That costed me a fortune and my bank is empty at the moment but I have no regret because now I am 100% sure the U.K. is where my heart belongs and where I should be living in. I made an objective analysis of my life and reached the conclusion which I wouldn't have been able to do in Japan. So now, I am even more ready to strive for my goals this year. It might take a while for me to save up but I will try my best so that I can move to the country my soul shines. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
...until then, I will try my best to write one or two posts per week on this blog, constantly!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Curel Lip Care Cream<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-e6_ta9zK9J8/WCBtnKWThLI/AAAAAAAAINE/0qNmXpPFlkgVcUI9S7UXWDU2VUnRsTYDQCEw/s1600/P1630357.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-e6_ta9zK9J8/WCBtnKWThLI/AAAAAAAAINE/0qNmXpPFlkgVcUI9S7UXWDU2VUnRsTYDQCEw/s1600/P1630357.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://www.kao.com/jp/curel/crl_lip_00.html?_ga=1.172262059.908335405.1476276577" target="_blank">Curel Lip Care Cream 850yen</a>*</b></span><br />
This lip balm, apparently, is one of the best-selling lip balms in Japan. The brand Curel is known for their products developed especially for those with super sensitive skin caused by dryness. The brand is easily accessible at the drugstores in Japan, and the price isn't too high for a brand for sensitive skin.<br />
<br />
When it comes to lip balm, I swear by Carmex and Uriage, nothing else. I have tried many lip balms in the past but 90% of them did not work, or made the condition of my lips even worse for some reason, which is why I only buy Carmex or Uriage. So when I received Curel Lip Care Cream, I was pretty skeptical. I was not expecting anything spectacular. But I must tell you, this is such a basic but good lip balm.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jAMBkF14-5U/WCBtqpnpEGI/AAAAAAAAINE/oSdTYYRV5xs6teN58zSI8tuhl8wLra3xACEw/s1600/P1630380.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jAMBkF14-5U/WCBtqpnpEGI/AAAAAAAAINE/oSdTYYRV5xs6teN58zSI8tuhl8wLra3xACEw/s1600/P1630380.JPG" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
The key ingredient is "creamed' that holds and locks moisture into the skin. It also has another ingredient that coats the surface of the lips so that the moisture stays. It is completely fragrance-free which is suitable for those who are sensitive to fragrance and essential oils.<br />
<br />
The texture is very light that you can't even tell that i's on your lips. The lip balm itself is pretty hard which is a good thing because you don't accidentally apply too much of it, and also it makes a perfect base for a lip stick as it leaves a very thin layer of the balm which don't disturb the finish. I noticed my lips weren't as dry after a couple of days and now I am hooked. I still like Uriage but Curel Lip Care Cream is slightly cheaper (Triage is 1040yen I believe, and Curel is 850yen) and works as good -what is the reason for me to go back to Uriage? Now I am fully convinced why this is so hyped up.<br />
<br />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05349430705700752696noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7748096698466903373.post-12004028748649595422016-10-09T23:17:00.001+09:002016-10-09T23:17:08.977+09:00Jazz up your style with Paperself!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OJg1d2DnnRo/V-_FLAvRPJI/AAAAAAAAILA/nmpq7MzJQso6royAKyMP5HjZwBe0pwtHwCLcB/s1600/P1610658.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OJg1d2DnnRo/V-_FLAvRPJI/AAAAAAAAILA/nmpq7MzJQso6royAKyMP5HjZwBe0pwtHwCLcB/s1600/P1610658.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
Whilst I was in London, 80% of the compliments I got there were on my tattoos -not real ones because I have none, but the temp ones from the brand called <b><a href="http://paperself./">Paperself.</a> </b>Paperself is one of my favourite brands at the moment. They have paper lashes as well as sticker tattoos, worn by Elizabeth Banks and Jennifer Lawrence in the movie The Hunger Games, Rihanna in "Princess of China' music video and Anne Hathaway at SAG awards 2013. They have collaborated with Shu Uemura and Alexander McQueen as well.<br />
<br />
On a chilly rainy day in September, I met the founder Chunwei in London. He is originally from Taiwan, but launched Paperself in London with his wife, where they have been based in. Their sense of design is exceptional and delicate which I love, and somewhat fragile.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XrlHNt5E6jI/V-_FLVXZNCI/AAAAAAAAILc/fbM16vHrygkJwtGnjQSOKtFCqGkPdTNRwCEw/s1600/P1610673.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XrlHNt5E6jI/V-_FLVXZNCI/AAAAAAAAILc/fbM16vHrygkJwtGnjQSOKtFCqGkPdTNRwCEw/s1600/P1610673.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
Their <b><a href="https://paperself.com/collections/eyelashes" target="_blank">eyelashes</a></b> are 100% made out of paper, which means they are very lightweight and pretty comfortable to wear. The lashes are super delicate and well-made, which made me ask Chunwei if a lot of lashes get wasted during the manufacturing process. 'Of course, they are easy to break' he replied.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0KVB8mYdOVs/V-_FKaCPtXI/AAAAAAAAILc/gdf5kK40Dss1F-IsijiMgJjWdO1P0p43QCEw/s1600/P1610686.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0KVB8mYdOVs/V-_FKaCPtXI/AAAAAAAAILc/gdf5kK40Dss1F-IsijiMgJjWdO1P0p43QCEw/s1600/P1610686.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
Can you see how detailed the lashes are? Can you believe these lashes are only £12.50 considering how money and time consuming the manufacturing process must be? And he told me that I can wear one pair 2-3 times if I would take care of them carefully.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4MqLqfJj87o/V-_FRrbsA7I/AAAAAAAAILc/F0NZsl9QxTEpR16xUNsjEzqU3Pf6S9GFACEw/s1600/P1630233.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4MqLqfJj87o/V-_FRrbsA7I/AAAAAAAAILc/F0NZsl9QxTEpR16xUNsjEzqU3Pf6S9GFACEw/s1600/P1630233.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-plyeztVTrD0/V-_FRKUEHyI/AAAAAAAAILc/ZU02XprSTgQOWFsf1LFz-bqd9Q3UP86PQCEw/s1600/P1630225.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-plyeztVTrD0/V-_FRKUEHyI/AAAAAAAAILc/ZU02XprSTgQOWFsf1LFz-bqd9Q3UP86PQCEw/s1600/P1630225.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
I am wearing <b><a href="https://paperself.com/collections/eyelashes/products/peonies" target="_blank">Peonies</a> </b>in the photos above without mascara. You can make it even more gorgeous with mascara or normal false lashes if you want, but I thought I'd go for a simpler look as I do not have the biggest eyes in the world.<br />
<br />
They are very easy to apply, unbelievably lightweight and it feels like I am not wearing anything on my lashes. The only thing you must be careful is that the band is pretty thick that it looks better with a black eyeliner to hide it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-A7kQPpCAI-0/V-_FTWYsuRI/AAAAAAAAILc/EVRto6zL_tQ46zinNnmnQXtTgolfQ-ONgCEw/s1600/P1630246.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-A7kQPpCAI-0/V-_FTWYsuRI/AAAAAAAAILc/EVRto6zL_tQ46zinNnmnQXtTgolfQ-ONgCEw/s1600/P1630246.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
You can customise the lashes as well -cut them in small and stuck them on the face with a bit of glue. Or just like Anne Hathaway did on red carpet, you can stuck them on your nails and apply top coat on. You might think these lashes are for special occasions like weddings and parties, but actually they are perfect for daily use.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_xItVOR3D9s/V-_Rfc5cblI/AAAAAAAAILw/XfkZ5samRxgIJtYzXTe9txy0YWtNTsrtQCPcB/s1600/P1000912.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_xItVOR3D9s/V-_Rfc5cblI/AAAAAAAAILw/XfkZ5samRxgIJtYzXTe9txy0YWtNTsrtQCPcB/s1600/P1000912.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
The lashes are gorgeous, but for me their tattoos are the star products. I was wearing their tattoos nearly every day in London and I received countless compliments. To be honest, I was counting at the beginning (which was 5 from strangers within a couple of hours) but after a few days I stopped trying because it was literally countless. From a stranger sat next to me in the bus to a sales assistant at a shop, and of course my friends as well, they all asked 'Are they real? They look so cool, where can I get them from?'.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tGdckCSkirY/V-_Rfv0N--I/AAAAAAAAILw/MDYJX43lwToVyjCWR3Kd2YsxzJIhRUUFwCPcB/s1600/P1000924.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tGdckCSkirY/V-_Rfv0N--I/AAAAAAAAILw/MDYJX43lwToVyjCWR3Kd2YsxzJIhRUUFwCPcB/s1600/P1000924.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
One set has two sheets, and you cut them as you like and stuck them with a wet towel on top to secure them. It only takes a minute or two, so I was choosing which tattoo to wear as if I was picking my necklace and earrings. Its lasting power isn't too bad either, some lasted for 4 days or so without fading.<br />
<br />
My favourite design is <b><a href="https://paperself.com/collections/frontpage/products/constellations" target="_blank">Constellations</a> </b>as it looks elegant yet not too feminine. They just came out with new designs too that you will definitely find your favourite. Their tattoos have got beautiful gold details that reflect lights in such a subtle yet gorgeous way, and they look even more beautiful on the skin.<br />
<br />
I like the idea of wearing a small tattoo around the neck and ear which I am going to try this autumn / winter. Their <b><a href="https://www.instagram.com/paperself/" target="_blank">instagram</a></b> is full of ideas if you don't know how to rock them. Their products are sold at Selfridges, Le Bon Marché and online. Their website has the best variation of the products.<br />

I have been into orange eye makeup for a while. I always though warm toned eyeshadow such as pink and orange would make my eyes look smaller, especially when a winged eyeliner is not involved. But this eyeliner came along and it completely changed my perception.<br />
<br />
I had heard a lot of good things about Integrate Snipe Eyeliner, but I had never tried it because I always missed a chance to get their limited shade which comes out occasionally in addition to their basic shades which I had never been interested in; black and brown.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-p_1Pm_GRQ6U/V8MWeBbZuHI/AAAAAAAAIIo/4GL9IcVl8OgRA2xtbh32ks8WcGkeblBEQCPcB/s1600/P1630040.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-p_1Pm_GRQ6U/V8MWeBbZuHI/AAAAAAAAIIo/4GL9IcVl8OgRA2xtbh32ks8WcGkeblBEQCPcB/s1600/P1630040.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
But this time, I didn't miss out! The shade I got is 'Shiny Sunset' which is a beautiful orange shade with a bit of glitter. Its twist-up packaging makes it easy to use it up.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hjEkibGpogI/V8MWl7dFiOI/AAAAAAAAIIo/nmIy4JLvJ34eL7nz3aH6NQBzboU98osOACPcB/s1600/P1630054.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hjEkibGpogI/V8MWl7dFiOI/AAAAAAAAIIo/nmIy4JLvJ34eL7nz3aH6NQBzboU98osOACPcB/s1600/P1630054.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
The pencil is very creamy that it glides on when it touches the skin. It doesn't drag the skin which is always a good thing for an eyeliner.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-F9nI5HGlj94/V8MWp7sQIzI/AAAAAAAAIIo/PFykC_BK13E0vlfm7KR7h0yB96Zpdy-FwCPcB/s1600/P1630266.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-F9nI5HGlj94/V8MWp7sQIzI/AAAAAAAAIIo/PFykC_BK13E0vlfm7KR7h0yB96Zpdy-FwCPcB/s1600/P1630266.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IlMpTTtTRXI/V8MWppLABZI/AAAAAAAAIIo/0tOSmguHYgABG9_9oerZj8Ap-VHWiIx6gCPcB/s1600/P1630259.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IlMpTTtTRXI/V8MWppLABZI/AAAAAAAAIIo/0tOSmguHYgABG9_9oerZj8Ap-VHWiIx6gCPcB/s1600/P1630259.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
It goes well with a simple makeup like the photos above, or sometimes I wear some peachy and orangey shades on the crease to emphasise the colours. I LOVE how fresh it looks, which might sound a little weird to say considering the fact we are going towards autumn / winter -but I'm going to wear this look all year round!<br />
<br />
I also love that this eyeliner is metallic, it catches the light and adds a bit of gorgeous and sophisticated feel to the look. Imagine if it was matte -it would look kind of boring and tacky in my opinion!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Blb2eaXA_uo/V8MWcDgExII/AAAAAAAAIIo/MURYCRiOxfUzwvF_gSBXYB2SamDWSQqbwCPcB/s1600/P1630037.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Blb2eaXA_uo/V8MWcDgExII/AAAAAAAAIIo/MURYCRiOxfUzwvF_gSBXYB2SamDWSQqbwCPcB/s1600/P1630037.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
I wonder why they don't launch 10 different shades as a permanent collection...they'd sell well for sure! I cannot wait for them to release another limited shade, they have an amazing sense of colour so whatever they'd release, I will buy.<br />
<br />
It was launched a couple of months ago but I still spot it here and there in Tokyo, and also available <b><a href="http://www.shiseido.co.jp/sw/products/SWFG070410.seam?online_shohin_ctlg_kbn=1&shohin_pl_c_cd=667401" target="_blank">online</a></b>.<br />

<br />
I've been asking myself whether I should write about this post or not for more than a month. It's not related to beauty, and it's more personal that none of you may be intreated in. But it could be a post that I only can write now -and this kind of feelings and thoughts might fade away as time goes. So I decided to write this post for myself.<br />
<br />
London has got a very special power towards me. I did not speak English at all when I was in high school, that I did not even know what the difference is between 'This is a cat' and 'These are cats'. I thought it would be totally OK and always said to my teachers 'I would never leave Japan anyway, I don't need to be able to speak English'.<br />
<br />
That completely changed when I was 17. At that point, my life was complete misery -mysterious hives due to stress from school was attacking my whole body that I was scratching my body 24/7 which kept me awake all night. I always had a stomachache, suffering from depression and wishing to disappear. I had no friends, no dream and no hope. But suddenly, I was completely drawn to John Galliano and his shows. I think it was one of his Dior show I saw on TV that caught my attention. It taught me the existence of fashion shows, and people behind the runway. I immediately started researching about him, but don't forget it was 2001 when computers were not as useful as they are nowadays. I found out he was from the U.K., and he went to Central Saint Martins in London. Though I wanted to become a makeup artist for fashion shows, I dreamt of studying art at Central Saint Martins.<br />
<br />
Though he is a complete stranger, and he would never ever get to know my existence, John saved my life. He gave me hope and dream. I stopped worrying about the school I didn't fit in, and started dreaming about the world I'd never been in. School problems seemed such small things, and it gave me confidence that there could be somewhere I could fit in and be comfortable to be in. I started teaching myself English at home, whilst saving money. I was also into Sid Vicious at that point -coincidentally he is from the U.K. too -because of his sad and fragile life story. Though I wasn't interested in its culture, I felt like I had to go to England. It felt like my duty.<br />
<br />
As there was no Twitter, YouTube not Snapchat at that point, I was staring at the live streaming of a security camera of a random university in England for hours and hours, dreaming to be one of those students. My dream grew bigger and bigger, that the only thing I was thinking about was England.<br />
<br />
In 2003, I graduated high school. I believe it was the happiest day of my life. My sickness was gone completely, and I started gaining weight in a healthy way. I deleted all my 'friends' phone number in my phone, hid all the school materials in the closet, and finally started living my life, dreaming to go to London to study art and makeup, and become a makeup artist for runways. Well, life isn't that easy.<br />
<br />
After my graduation, my father's company went bankrupt. We lost everything. We did not even have money to buy food. The bank kicked us out from our own house and sold it to someone else. My father left my mum and I without money and jobs. That's when I decided to give up on my dream of becoming a makeup artist, nor studying in London.<br />
<br />
It's been more than 10 years since then. I recently noticed (yes, just recently) that most of the things I find attractive were British -including music, movies, TV series, books and all sorts. I still think about England 24/7. When I wake up in the morning, I think about England. In the train, I think about Big Ben. During a boring meeting, I am picturing how pretty London looks. I don't know what it is about London that keeps me going every single day, like a warm hand gently pushing my back to move forward.<br />
<br />
People often ask me 'why London?'. I do not have an answer. I wonder why it wasn't Paris. Or NY, or whatever. I did not choose London, but London called me. And it's never left my side since when I was 17. I wouldn't go into too much detail about the difference between Japanese and British cultures here because that might cause unnecessary debates as some Japanese people like arguing about 'how toxic it is for Japanese people to be westernised'.<br />
<br />
All I can say is that some people enjoy living in Japan, and some people feel uncomfortable living there -and I am one of them. When I am in London, I feel so happy that I can find books I am interested in at the book store around the corner. I love the fact I actually enjoy TV -even the adverts. I love how sales assistants at stores are grumpy sometimes -I love that they do not act like robots like they do in Japan. I love how strangers talk to each other. I love how people do not give a damn about other people, but at the same time they'd give up on their seats when they see elderly people standing near them.<br />
<br />
Of course there are things I do not like about London -dirty streets, greasy handles in the bus, lack of air conditioner....and the offender who stole my bag last month. But whatever happens, I still prefer being in England. Just being here makes me happy. I am so pleased and proud of myself for saving up and coming here to see if I really like living here or not, and I came to the conclusion I really do like living here despite some negative facts and inconvenience.<br />
<br />
London will always be a big part of my life, keep motivating and giving me hopes towards my future. It is so sad to leave, but I am sure I will be back soon. Until then, I will cherish every moment of my time in London and keep on going.<br />

<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GbNzgne45ME/V8ID_7Wtr3I/AAAAAAAAIHw/6orlHHhLG_8vYgT7U_hbifdBvlrtopIiwCLcB/s1600/P1630117.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GbNzgne45ME/V8ID_7Wtr3I/AAAAAAAAIHw/6orlHHhLG_8vYgT7U_hbifdBvlrtopIiwCLcB/s1600/P1630117.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
How many eyeshadow brushes do you have? I don't have a ridiculous amount but I have at least 10 -which I believe is pretty normal in the beauty blogging community...But, there are two eyeshadow brushes that stand out, that I keep reaching for. And they are affordable.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9ZAw2bHIROM/V8IEAa7R52I/AAAAAAAAIIE/ypcbQcelQNkM6Gq30hliIGetjbjzTJSIwCPcB/s1600/P1630128.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9ZAw2bHIROM/V8IEAa7R52I/AAAAAAAAIIE/ypcbQcelQNkM6Gq30hliIGetjbjzTJSIwCPcB/s1600/P1630128.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://www.iherb.com/real-techniques-by-samantha-chapman-bold-metals-collection-eyes-tapered-shadow-203-1-brush/66980?rcode=fqs584" target="_blank">Tapered Shadow Brush 203</a> (left)</b></span><br />
This is definitely one of the best eyeshadow brushes I've ever used. You can use it to apply a base shade, crease shade, and darker shade -pretty much any looks can be created by this brush. It blends eyeshadow seamlessly and flawlessly.<br />
<br />
It helps some eyeshadows that I usually struggle to work with blend beautifully, and I there is no eyeshadow goes patchy when applied with this brush. However, I cannot find this brush on their official website. I would be so sad if they discontinued it...but don't worry, it's still available on <b><a href="http://www.iherb.com/?rcode=FQS584" target="_blank">iHerb</a> </b>which I put the link above. I bought one a few months ago, and bought another because I liked it so much that I needed two. I will purchase a couple more once I'm back in Japan -before it's sold out.<br />
<b><br /></b>
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://www.iherb.com/real-techniques-by-samantha-chapman-bold-metals-collection-eyes-200-oval-shadow-1-brush/66976?rcode=fqs584" target="_blank">Oval Shadow Brush 200</a> (right)</b></span><br />
Because I liked Tapered Shadow Brush, I bought this one to see if it's as good. I must say I like 203 better, but this is a very good quality brush for sure. It's so fluffy, thick and soft. One swipe would cover the whole lid and it applies eyeshadow evenly. I only used it for a base shade, and just like Tapered Shadow Brush does, it blends any eyeshadow perfectly.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fBecK_HlzN4/V8IEA4YTdII/AAAAAAAAIIE/RgYrrp2wvNM2MLRXeZBmU-cmuQC5I9LmACPcB/s1600/P1630120.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fBecK_HlzN4/V8IEA4YTdII/AAAAAAAAIIE/RgYrrp2wvNM2MLRXeZBmU-cmuQC5I9LmACPcB/s1600/P1630120.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
I brought about 8 eyeshadow brushes from home but I haven't used any other ones but these two. They do not look super high quality by the looks of it, but I promise you will satisfy with the finish it provides.<br />

<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Np7MOs4WHS0/V7cdXjtsJxI/AAAAAAAAIGM/2I1BFZRQEQcA8jnciyqvfl5hh7_SxlJ6wCLcB/s1600/P1320999.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Np7MOs4WHS0/V7cdXjtsJxI/AAAAAAAAIGM/2I1BFZRQEQcA8jnciyqvfl5hh7_SxlJ6wCLcB/s1600/P1320999.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
The variation of coloured contacts at drugstores in Tokyo is overwhelming and insane. There are so many different types at different price range. I had never been a big fan of coloured contacts until I discovered this brand called DAZZSHOP, because generally they are unnatural and uncomfortable to wear. The ones made in Korea were the worst out of everything I've tried -they were so uncomfortable that I couldn't stand for 3 minutes. But when I found DAZZSHOP, that have some physical shops in Tokyo where you can try the lenses on virtually on an iPad, I couldn't resist but to try them. And I must say they are very high quality lenses that are super comfortable, thin, natural and affordable. There is nothing negative about them -yes I am obsessed.<br />
<br />
I have three different types in hand out of SIX, and I am going to show you what they look like.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-X5HdYcq0OJQ/V7cdXviVM6I/AAAAAAAAIGQ/1C0knT1vnCo6f5i8U1DS4bzpr-bo9xCjACLcB/s1600/P1330008.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-X5HdYcq0OJQ/V7cdXviVM6I/AAAAAAAAIGQ/1C0knT1vnCo6f5i8U1DS4bzpr-bo9xCjACLcB/s1600/P1330008.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GL1_45xx1LQ/V7cdYBPS8QI/AAAAAAAAIGU/wRWZjCf5H5I-x8-oWo7ZmZU6oRC6xibegCLcB/s1600/P1330012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GL1_45xx1LQ/V7cdYBPS8QI/AAAAAAAAIGU/wRWZjCf5H5I-x8-oWo7ZmZU6oRC6xibegCLcB/s1600/P1330012.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="https://www.dazzshop.com/products/detail.php?product_id=28" target="_blank">Airy Accent 1,900yen </a>*</span></b><br />
If you are new to coloured contacts and have dark brown / black eyes, this might be perfect to start with. Airy Accent is like a natural version of 'Define' lenses that Asian girls (mostly Japanese and Korean) wear. I personally am not a big fan of the look because it makes me look like a cyborg, and the eyes lose its light. This one is very natural, yet makes a big difference to the look.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CG9IWBwswc8/V7cdY3X4MtI/AAAAAAAAIGk/yavI6AzE6-YaYP_cpc2D5clR9nMEw0soACLcB/s1600/P1330115.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CG9IWBwswc8/V7cdY3X4MtI/AAAAAAAAIGk/yavI6AzE6-YaYP_cpc2D5clR9nMEw0soACLcB/s1600/P1330115.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
You can see there is a gradational frame around the eye in the photo, but who would look in the eye this close? If you look at the eyes from a normal distance, you cannot even tell the coloured contacts are on. None of my family members and friends have noticed that I had them on. But they've complimented how nice I looked, without noticing that the lenses were making a big difference ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aZNaDKw4B-k/V7cdYWsjL0I/AAAAAAAAIGc/wAMKzqS6sioruzuy2s3qqIa_XJ5IO7yLwCLcB/s1600/P1330029.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aZNaDKw4B-k/V7cdYWsjL0I/AAAAAAAAIGc/wAMKzqS6sioruzuy2s3qqIa_XJ5IO7yLwCLcB/s1600/P1330029.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pveC-3B8O0I/V7cdYsz6lGI/AAAAAAAAIGg/z2rJF9jzXkg3tHCnb6ijRUy2HqlCAGc6ACLcB/s1600/P1330030.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pveC-3B8O0I/V7cdYsz6lGI/AAAAAAAAIGg/z2rJF9jzXkg3tHCnb6ijRUy2HqlCAGc6ACLcB/s1600/P1330030.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><a href="https://www.dazzshop.com/products/detail.php?product_id=172" target="_blank"><b>Blended 02 2,000yen</b></a></span><br />
Blended 02 is perfect if you are Asian dreaming to have hazel eyes. This kind of coloured contacts are popular in Japan, but most of them are very bold that some girls feel shy to wear them. I must say I really enjoy wearing Blended 02 because it completely changes my look. I LOVE paring Blended 02 with smoky eyes because it suits brighter eyes than darker eyes in my opinion.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-A-psZ48hBok/V7cdYwll4pI/AAAAAAAAIGo/TLy1pkvitx8IFXfuOjEcEecgHHL2B1SiwCLcB/s1600/P1610047.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-A-psZ48hBok/V7cdYwll4pI/AAAAAAAAIGo/TLy1pkvitx8IFXfuOjEcEecgHHL2B1SiwCLcB/s1600/P1610047.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
Although I cannot say this is the most natural coloured lens, it's not too unnatural at the same time. I think I would be able to rock this if I had a bigger nose -with my tiny nose it's never convincing that I have natural hazel eyes.<br />

Sparkling 01 is more natural compared to Blended 02, but still gives a 'kick' to the look. Its graduation from grey to hazel is gorgeous, yet not too much.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6gQpXfsWjS0/V7cddMwpbuI/AAAAAAAAIG0/HQKHIk52RigN8yn8fgC-8V66lIxtRUgHwCPcB/s1600/P1610932.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6gQpXfsWjS0/V7cddMwpbuI/AAAAAAAAIG0/HQKHIk52RigN8yn8fgC-8V66lIxtRUgHwCPcB/s1600/P1610932.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
This one is like in-between shade -very natural that you can see through the true colour of my eye, yet adds something different to my natural eye. Grey and hazel ombre looks beautiful, and it's perfect for when I want something more than Airy Accent but not as strong as Blended 02.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z3Hvq95XdbE/V7og0wwdh0I/AAAAAAAAIHQ/bfKMI28wAjk-G77eufvv8DYlz9Enp4DQACLcB/s1600/P1320978.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z3Hvq95XdbE/V7og0wwdh0I/AAAAAAAAIHQ/bfKMI28wAjk-G77eufvv8DYlz9Enp4DQACLcB/s1600/P1320978.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
They also have very simple and elegant cosmetics as well. The eyeliners are super pigmented, do not budge and stay on my eyelids for hours and hours. The blusher is pigmented yet not too strong that goes on to one spot.<br />

<br />
Look how pigmented the sky blue eyeliner looks! It's not watery nor drying, easily glides on and does not budge. Their 2016 Autumn collection called Scandalous Line is out now with many chic and elegant shades perfect for the coming season (though I do not even want to think about the fact summer is almost over!).<br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://www.ayura.co.jp/products/detail.php?product_id=76" target="_blank">AYURA Wellfit Body Sheet 810yen </a></b></span><br />
I've got an idea. I think I should establish a company in the U.K. that sells wipes. Hand wipes, body wipes, face wipes that you can use with a makeup on...we have a lot of different wipes in Japan, and I wonder why they're not available in the U.K. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE England and I am considering moving here (only if I can find a job...sob) but come on, you need wipes in your lives!!<br />
<br />
In Japan, classic wet wipes are called 'wet tissues' and they are not only for a baby's bum or toilet, they can be used in many different situations. We also have normal face wipes to remove makeup, and a different kind of face wipes to use during the day especially in disgusting summer in Tokyo (it was 38 degrees in Tokyo the other day I heard...how gross!) to freshen up. Then it comes to body wipes -my favourite.<br />
<br />
I buy a bunch of body wipes every summer, because I can't cope without them! My favourite this year is definitely Wellfit Body Sheet from AYURA. You can get cheaper ones from the drugstores but I am not a big fan of the scents, they usually smell cheap and boring. But Wellfit Body Sheet takes it to the different level.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Cifn1mv8Uhc/V6t63sOjGGI/AAAAAAAAIF0/PpV1b6rzUhwBjVf6N_mztj59-hTC-evdwCEw/s1600/P1610607.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Cifn1mv8Uhc/V6t63sOjGGI/AAAAAAAAIF0/PpV1b6rzUhwBjVf6N_mztj59-hTC-evdwCEw/s1600/P1610607.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
The sheet itself is very soft and a little fluffy in a way. It feels very cooling and refreshing on the skin, and because it's got powder (I guess) on the surface, it leaves the skin feel silky smooth -without a trace of sweat. Also, the scent is leaves on the skin is absolutely beautiful. It's got a similar scent to their multiple-award-winning product 'Meditation Bath' and I cannot rave about this product enough.<br />
<br />
The top note is a blend of forest wood, leafy green, bergamot, apple, rosemary and chamomile, followed by the blend of rose, neroli and jasmine. The base note is a mixture of sandalwood, cedarwood and musk which isn't heavy as it sounds.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-19HuKz2GnKQ/V6t60q55ZeI/AAAAAAAAIF0/BAz89lblY0keZSxKI7yh2y5bHDDjMQBqgCEw/s1600/P1610604.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-19HuKz2GnKQ/V6t60q55ZeI/AAAAAAAAIF0/BAz89lblY0keZSxKI7yh2y5bHDDjMQBqgCEw/s1600/P1610604.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
I do not leave my house without the wipes in summer in Japan, because I know I will be sweating a lot just by walking to the station, which is about 7 minutes walk. It's perfect for outdoor activities, workouts, or before a date to freshen up because it leaves a subtle yet beautiful scent on your skin. I like to use it around my neck when I don't have my perfume with me.<br />
<br />
Unfortunately I've only used it once since I came to London last month, as the weather's been kind to me...but if you are planning to go to Japan in summer, buy a couple of these at the beginning of your trip and you won't regret it.<br />

When it comes to makeup, are you a playful or conservative girl? You can be both. I only wear neutral eyeshadows to work which is why I have multiple eyeshadow palettes full of nude shades in them. But that doesn't mean I don't like purple eyeshadow. I find Sigma Eyeshadow Palette in Nightlife very handy because I can create a very conservative look as well as a bold look suitable for night out -which I never do. You don't have to go out at night to rock the smoky eye anyway!<br />

<br />
No Waiting, Leather Pants, After Hours and Disco Ball<br />
<br />
Just like other Sigma Eyeshadow Palettes, the eyeshadows are soft, buttery and super pigmented. It's got a good mixture of shimmery, glittery and matte shades that you can play with.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SVhJ4-nUCN4/V6ewrCkpH7I/AAAAAAAAIFc/xhV-DDObM-oBLY4kCbaTFqo8zuD032X3ACEw/s1600/P1330073.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SVhJ4-nUCN4/V6ewrCkpH7I/AAAAAAAAIFc/xhV-DDObM-oBLY4kCbaTFqo8zuD032X3ACEw/s1600/P1330073.JPG" /></a></div>

<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jucVXOFw4gg/V6ewrdX4pJI/AAAAAAAAIFc/-jHWd16mU1oe53Q2h-LmZHcYSHqzXDjoACEw/s1600/P1330075.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jucVXOFw4gg/V6ewrdX4pJI/AAAAAAAAIFc/-jHWd16mU1oe53Q2h-LmZHcYSHqzXDjoACEw/s1600/P1330075.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
For a simple look like this, I mainly use the shades on the top row. To create this look, I used Bijou as a base, Panache on the crease, Topaz on the outer corner and 4 Star on the middle part of the lid to add a little bit of dimension. I am into orange eyeshadows at the moment, and this look is perfect when I want to wear orange in a subtle way.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-73y4Om1myG8/V6ewr_J7fmI/AAAAAAAAIFc/5qCXsINTlIcxcuvTiNkQ3dM4kVxuPyjJQCEw/s1600/P1330085.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-73y4Om1myG8/V6ewr_J7fmI/AAAAAAAAIFc/5qCXsINTlIcxcuvTiNkQ3dM4kVxuPyjJQCEw/s1600/P1330085.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sg_cLiIf2js/V6ewr5VCMBI/AAAAAAAAIFc/I8iD-gHIR3AjcXHoobaDCV060EVAj1kfgCEw/s1600/P1330083.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sg_cLiIf2js/V6ewr5VCMBI/AAAAAAAAIFc/I8iD-gHIR3AjcXHoobaDCV060EVAj1kfgCEw/s1600/P1330083.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
For this look, I used the shades on the middle row mainly. I applied Skyline as a base, Panache and Urbanette on the crease, Leather Pants on the outer corner and blend Urbanette on top. To finish up, added Skyline on the centre of the lid, and sprinkle of Disco Ball overall.<br />
<br />
As you can see, they are all pigmented and blend well with each other. None of the shadows are patchy or hard to blend. Plus, they are long-lasting!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SNBKJeeZNh4/V6ewqFpHMJI/AAAAAAAAIFc/z9O9fYktLNQepTu73xqvEZ6jK7vI5c6ugCEw/s1600/P1320028.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SNBKJeeZNh4/V6ewqFpHMJI/AAAAAAAAIFc/z9O9fYktLNQepTu73xqvEZ6jK7vI5c6ugCEw/s1600/P1320028.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
Though I am not a huge fan of Camila Coelho (nothing personal at all, I just prefer UK beauty bloggers) I must admit this is such a gorgeous and well-made palette! What is your favourite Sigma palette? What should I try next? Let me know! x<br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://www.bcl-brand.jp/special/saborino/" target="_blank">Saborino Morning Face Mask 390yen</a></b></span><br />
Are you a type of person who tends to hit the snooze button to sleep extra 5 minutes...becomes 10 minutes..end up with15 minutes, then start running around trying not waste a second in the morning? Well, I am. I have never been a morning person in my life, and I am always running late. So, I had to try out Saborino Morning Face Mask to see if it does what it claims.<br />
<br />
Saborino Morning Face Mask does everything from cleansing, exfoliating, moisturising, creating a perfect base for makeup. How attractive does it sound for not-a-morning-person like me?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-n4ZNEjIBvR0/V50onzhV4hI/AAAAAAAAID4/LQThY6ER-0Y7PPjBSMyqsCHx3QAT8-WGQCEw/s1600/P1610627.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-n4ZNEjIBvR0/V50onzhV4hI/AAAAAAAAID4/LQThY6ER-0Y7PPjBSMyqsCHx3QAT8-WGQCEw/s1600/P1610627.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
I got a smaller size that contains 5 sheets, they have a bigger one that comes with 32 sheets (which they claim contains 304ml of lotion!!) as well. Usually I struggle to take one sheet mask out of this kind of bag, but surprisingly this one was very easy for some reason. It might be due to the material of the mask, which is thicker than typical sheet mask I would say.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-etV4-iQG3iQ/V50oobqgyxI/AAAAAAAAIEI/4P6M7QToOQIQ0S9SWUkcoyvjtdt5FjNkACEw/s1600/P1610635.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-etV4-iQG3iQ/V50oobqgyxI/AAAAAAAAIEI/4P6M7QToOQIQ0S9SWUkcoyvjtdt5FjNkACEw/s1600/P1610635.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
You're supposed to stretch the mask to fit on your face, but I didn't find it too stretchy. I placed it on my face, then realised they have very small holes for eyes, and they are very close to each other. Though my eyes aren't the biggest in the world, they did't fit in to the holes. I liked the fact it hugs the jaw and neck with the extra parts on the edges if that makes sense...<br />
<br />
It felt very refreshing and soothing on the skin. You're supposed to leave it for one minute, which I did. It gently exfoliates the skin, while moisturising and nourishing. I removed the mask, and pat the remaining lotion on the skin, and put foundation on top to see if it really does work as primer too. Unfortunately my foundation didn't go on as smoothly as I was expecting, and it made me reassure that I prefer following my usual morning skincare routine than using this mask only.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PAdkHqdaBj0/V50opGwXufI/AAAAAAAAIEI/-cRpf_-IQss_pCncx68eQcb1kPX19PiNgCEw/s1600/P1610651.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PAdkHqdaBj0/V50opGwXufI/AAAAAAAAIEI/-cRpf_-IQss_pCncx68eQcb1kPX19PiNgCEw/s1600/P1610651.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
I love the concept and how easy it is to take one mask out off the package, but for me it didn't do what it claimed to do. However, it's very popular among Japanese girls at the moment, which means it works well for them! Give it a go if you are a lazy girl, you might find it a lifesaver in the busy morning ;)<br />

Before I start my review on Integrate Beauty Trick Eyebrow, let me apologise for not being able to update my blog for ages. It had been hectic until the middle of July, now everything's settled down and I am finally able to sit and work on my blogs...though I still have more than 500 unedited photos...<br />
<br />
Anyway, moving on to the review! I was given this product to review last month, and I was impressed with the quality of 1000yen palette! Integrate has always been one of my favourite drugstore brands -their Beauty Filter Foundation is simply brilliant, and Matsuiku-Mascara makes my lashes look unreal. In that context, no wonder why this palette wowed me.<br />

<br />
The left shade is a beautiful none-shimmery cream shade that is perfect for a natural highlight. It looks very natural when applied on the nose and the brow bones. You know sometimes beauty bloggers / YouTubers put a shimmery highlighter on the tip of their nose which honestly looks very strange, THAT never happens with this kind of highlighter.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CZ0NH3WXx-c/V5PGYUriQwI/AAAAAAAAIDc/uoxPgFKMGn06Nhf5EwLv_YTsgKh9ntLYQCEw/s1600/P1620844.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CZ0NH3WXx-c/V5PGYUriQwI/AAAAAAAAIDc/uoxPgFKMGn06Nhf5EwLv_YTsgKh9ntLYQCEw/s1600/P1620844.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
I use an eyeshadow brush to apply the highlighter, or you can use a sponge applicator to make it more intense.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rbRjmtpGA3k/V5PGYjFTCXI/AAAAAAAAIDc/AUAfumSpVl4BIrewDsPFLcG0OCgVi3pdQCEw/s1600/P1620883.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rbRjmtpGA3k/V5PGYjFTCXI/AAAAAAAAIDc/AUAfumSpVl4BIrewDsPFLcG0OCgVi3pdQCEw/s1600/P1620883.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
2nd from the left is a contouring shade, and is my favourite shade out of four. It's a little bit ashy but not muddy -and again it's not shimmery either that makes contouring very natural. You can use this shade to fill in the sparse areas along with the next shade, which is the 3rd one from the left.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oBavTP7Myi4/V5PGZRSacKI/AAAAAAAAIDc/enZi3X9JYq0IUx2nV1MpYUlPi3IW_tarACEw/s1600/P1620888.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oBavTP7Myi4/V5PGZRSacKI/AAAAAAAAIDc/enZi3X9JYq0IUx2nV1MpYUlPi3IW_tarACEw/s1600/P1620888.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
The right shade is ideal to draw the end of the brows if you're missing the part -like me. It is not too dark and intense, which means you never end up with that horrible 'instagram brow'.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gb9ACFl3boo/V5PGadNHOLI/AAAAAAAAIDc/jb1oRBXkHkkHpecVLZFk9ek0s9ethluJwCEw/s1600/P1620894.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gb9ACFl3boo/V5PGadNHOLI/AAAAAAAAIDc/jb1oRBXkHkkHpecVLZFk9ek0s9ethluJwCEw/s1600/P1620894.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the finished look of my brow! It's pretty impressive to achieve this look without help of a pencil, especially the end part of it. My brows are kind of chopped off and I need to draw 1/3 of it and I usually use Brow Pomade from Anastasia or an eyebrow pencil. The main reason is because it's easier to draw a thin line with those products, whereas eyebrow powder can look blurry sometimes. But this powder is intense and pigmented enough.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-uSJGVTPvKCw/V5PGXtGE-5I/AAAAAAAAIDc/ckHprCBqDWMRYreLvdXpCgPeBlF1dzmygCEw/s1600/P1620297.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-uSJGVTPvKCw/V5PGXtGE-5I/AAAAAAAAIDc/ckHprCBqDWMRYreLvdXpCgPeBlF1dzmygCEw/s1600/P1620297.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
It's compact, and does fit into the smallest makeup bag I own. Plus it comes with a brush which is not the best quality every but at the same time, not the worst either. I appreciate the brush to use on the go especially when it's super affordable...!<br />
<br />
By the way, do you know what Japanese girls are trying to achieve by using this product? Did you think it would be a sculpted and defined face like western girls are? Actually, Japanese girls are all about a small face. Just like they are always trying to get slimmer no matter how thin they actually are, they are aiming to make their face look smaller by the beauty gadgets, skincare products and makeup techniques. In Japan, defined cheek bones do not represent beauty, but a small face does! So what 'Trick Eyebrow' means is that it does the trick to make your face look smaller ;)<br />

<span style="font-size: medium;"><a href="http://www.beautylish.com/s/charlotte-tilbury-kissing-penelope-pink" style="font-size: x-large; font-weight: bold;" target="_blank">Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick / Penelope Pink $32.00</a></span><br />
I finally found my perfect nude. Though I'm not a bold-lipstick-kind-of-girl at all, I had been struggling to find a perfect nude shade for my skin tone. I have a tiny nose that my friends always make a joke about and a rather big mouse, so it looks a little unbalanced when I wear a bold lipstick as you might be able to imagine. I've never been a big fan of blue-toned pink on my lips either, it makes me look so '90s. Oh, and I don't like a frosty nor super matte finish.... Now you know fussy I am when it comes to a lipstick.<br />
<br />
But K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Penelope Pink from Charlotte Tilbury satisfies me fully. The shade is perfect, the finish is beautiful, the scent is divine and the packaging is to die for. What more can I ask for?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rrvLuIfFUDk/V3NqnkjqTqI/AAAAAAAAIBo/EpFTC1LIgVUY2Z0OC-uwzzS34UnsQrV3QCLcB/s1600/P1290512%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rrvLuIfFUDk/V3NqnkjqTqI/AAAAAAAAIBo/EpFTC1LIgVUY2Z0OC-uwzzS34UnsQrV3QCLcB/s1600/P1290512%2B2.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
First I thought to get Bitch Perfect, simply because I liked the name better. And of course I liked the shade too. But I realised it could look a little too pinky and bright on my lips, so I decided to get Penelope Pink instead -which was a smart move of me, well done!<br />
<br />
Penelope Pink is such a beautiful nude with a hint of orange, whereas Bitch Perfect is a brighter coral pink. It glides on the lips very smoothly which feels pretty comfortable on the lips. I often forget the fact I am wearing this lipstick, and accidentally wipe my lips with a napkin.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xNm_Pebyfz8/V3NqsUxm27I/AAAAAAAAIB0/wTxw9jgNhXIFdzPiodfEQB_IU-8xqYd0QCLcB/s1600/RIMG2105.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xNm_Pebyfz8/V3NqsUxm27I/AAAAAAAAIB0/wTxw9jgNhXIFdzPiodfEQB_IU-8xqYd0QCLcB/s1600/RIMG2105.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
As you can see, it's not a matte finish but not too glossy or sticky. I really love this kind of texture when it comes to a lipstick, because I cannot stand a matte lipstick that dries my lips out as I have naturally dry lips. As mentioned above, this lipstick is very comfortable to wear and I notice myself reaching for it several times a day.<br />
<br />
Another thing I LOVE about this lipstick is the scent. It smells similar to the lipsticks from MAC but not as strong in my opinion. It might put you off if you hate the scent of vanilla, but I personally love this scent and you only smell it when you apply the lipstick.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
So, where to buy their products from when you're not in the UK? I got mine from Beautylish.com that offers free shipping on orders over $100. Their price is cheaper than Net a Porter, another website you can get their products from.<br />
<br />
Now that Charlotte Tilbury launched new shades from her new range Hot Lips, I will definitely purchase some in the future once I am able to justify myself for getting another lipstick. I"m eying up on Super Cindy and Kim K.W. Which shade is your favourite?<br />

Summer is finally here in Tokyo and I cannot be happier! Although we're in middle of the raining season technically, it felt like summer last weekend. If you're thinking of switching some of your skincare items to something summer-appropriate, why not try the new addition to Hada Labo Shiro-Jyun series launched a couple of months ago called Brightening Sorbet?<br />
<br />
The formula with a brightening ingredient <i>tranexamic acid</i> will calm down inflammation -which is known to encourages melanin to grow, and prevent dark spots. Its cooking and refreshing texture is kind of innovative, and I find it very enjoyable to use.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3X86kqE00dU/V3DVkH4BfqI/AAAAAAAAIBY/pNZBe5l4PM8PzbfriI2vYza6RnG2bMBDgCKgB/s1600/P1320349.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3X86kqE00dU/V3DVkH4BfqI/AAAAAAAAIBY/pNZBe5l4PM8PzbfriI2vYza6RnG2bMBDgCKgB/s1600/P1320349.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
It comes with a spatula which I usually don't like but with this product it's necessary. As you can see the texture is like a solid oil, so if you dig your fingers into the jar directly, you will end up with the moisturiser under your nails which can be irritating.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-x1Vcdo2cXCA/V3DVk69j_6I/AAAAAAAAIBY/ADR3X5DyAx0AgcuooRKZZ83vZ1UCZYObwCKgB/s1600/P1320358.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-x1Vcdo2cXCA/V3DVk69j_6I/AAAAAAAAIBY/ADR3X5DyAx0AgcuooRKZZ83vZ1UCZYObwCKgB/s1600/P1320358.JPG" /></a></div>

<br />
Once it's applied, it starts melting by the warmth of the skin. As it contains menthol, it gives a very refreshing and cooling feel to the skin which would be very nice when your skin is burnt after a long day out on the beach or something. It also contains Witchhazel to tighten the pores, Saxifrage to moisturise and Edelweiss to calm the skin.<br />
<br />
The scent surprised me more than the texture to be honest -because usually Hada Labo products are unscented, but this product has a very nice floral scent to it. It's definitely floral but not too heavy or sweet as you might expect from the word 'floral', it's more like a fresh and clean scent.<br />
<br />
I usually apply a small amount on my palm and rub my hands together to melt it a little bit, but if you want to cool down your burnt skin, you might prefer to apply it directly to the skin.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CGGi1rKb7JU/V3DVkJbbOhI/AAAAAAAAIBY/DTauQi9woYARBck8IBevaO-HW0tgeyY7QCKgB/s1600/P1320338.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CGGi1rKb7JU/V3DVkJbbOhI/AAAAAAAAIBY/DTauQi9woYARBck8IBevaO-HW0tgeyY7QCKgB/s1600/P1320338.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
I like how moisturising yet not greasy this moisturiser is. It's perfect for normal to combination skin, but might be a little too light for dry skin. You can store it in the fridge to make it even cooler! It's such a lovely moisturiser for under 1,500yen ;)<br />

<br />
I don't think I need to write an in-depth review about this cult beauty product, because you all are aware it's one of the best selling beauty products in the world and there is a possibility that you are fed up on hearing about it. But I thought to write a quick post about my thoughts on the REAL beautyblender -what make it so special that spending $20 on a makeup sponge doesn't seem to be such a bad idea.<br />
<br />
I have used some makeup sponges in the past. I like applying my liquid foundation with a brush, but I definitely need a sponge to make sure the skin looks flawless, without any streaky lines or patchiness. I've tried some Japanese ones including Tofu sponge, Dior one and Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. For years and years I've heard beautyblender is the best sponge ever, but I couldn't justify myself for spending that much money on a makeup sponge. It's not even a brush, it's a makeup sponge, think about it.<br />
<br />
But then, I finally got fed up on using crappy makeup sponges that didn't satisfy me at all. I decided to purchase beautyblender online, as it's not available in Japan. I bought the one comes with a mini size of the solid cleanser, because I heard someone washed her beautyblender with a shampoo or something that completely ruined the texture. I thought it would be safer to get the cleanser too.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cSB6D8l1WUo/V11RzlaZb7I/AAAAAAAAIAU/g-rRLLgdZU8j_GovxUbJlY4DLU2qUkxzwCKgB/s1600/P1290414%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cSB6D8l1WUo/V11RzlaZb7I/AAAAAAAAIAU/g-rRLLgdZU8j_GovxUbJlY4DLU2qUkxzwCKgB/s1600/P1290414%2B2.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5ZnTNZW_WtE/V11R2JAJnjI/AAAAAAAAIAY/PJOqCjCOZ0EAZNTzpiadopXzdDgd2ggXwCKgB/s1600/P1290415%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5ZnTNZW_WtE/V11R2JAJnjI/AAAAAAAAIAY/PJOqCjCOZ0EAZNTzpiadopXzdDgd2ggXwCKgB/s1600/P1290415%2B2.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
The sponge expands quite a lot when it's damp. And this is when I realised the biggest different between the dupes and the real beautyblender. It's elasticity. That is it. Everything else is the same -it looks identical to the sponge from Dior that I used to use, but the texture is completely different.<br />
<br />
The one from Dior was very hard and didn't change the texture at all when damp, whereas beautyblender becomes softer and much more spongy once it soaks up water. The key here is that you must wet it properly. I squeeze my beautyblender at least 6-7 times under running water, so that it's completely wet. Then pat dry with a towel then with tissue paper as well, otherwise it feels too wet on the skin.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pUDyu4VSDiM/V11Rzts3r3I/AAAAAAAAIAU/GEo7DbSayj0XzcHj0n6bVfIEq8_t5EshQCKgB/s1600/P1290409%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pUDyu4VSDiM/V11Rzts3r3I/AAAAAAAAIAU/GEo7DbSayj0XzcHj0n6bVfIEq8_t5EshQCKgB/s1600/P1290409%2B2.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
It's so bouncy and soft on the skin, and does blend everything seamlessly. As mentioned earlier, I apply my liquid foundation with a brush (my favourite is Sigma Flattop Kabuki) and basically bounce this sponge all over my face. Then apply concealer, blend with a brush, then bounce this little black one again. When I want more coverage on my pores, I add a bit of my foundation over the cheek and dab the beautyblender. It blurs my pores completely and it never looks dry or patchy.<br />
<br />
Overall, this sponge does wonders for sure. I have no idea if elasticity of the sponge is connected to its blending ability, but it does do an amazing job. I cannot go back to Miracle Complexion Sponge from Real Techniques anymore, and I do not mind spending $20 on a sponge at all.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-R3TSpuYPoM8/V11R3HsbGYI/AAAAAAAAIAY/w4FGo61idmkaw7dfVED5jdJFYIZI2_whwCKgB/s1600/P1290421%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-R3TSpuYPoM8/V11R3HsbGYI/AAAAAAAAIAY/w4FGo61idmkaw7dfVED5jdJFYIZI2_whwCKgB/s1600/P1290421%2B2.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
My last note is about the solid cleanser. I first thought it would be ridiculous to buy a bar soap just for a sponge, especially when the soap is more than $15 or so. But now I am not against the idea as much as I was before, because it's pretty good actually.<br />
<br />
Mine is a mini and the tin didn't come with the soap itself, so I keep it in the lid of the plastic package of beautyblender. It smells of lavender which is lovely, though I wish the scent was a little more stronger and lingering. It's a little awkward to swirl the sponge on the soap, but it lathers well and keeps the sponge nice and clean. The great thing about this sponge is that it lasts forever. I have used this solid cleanser multiple times in the past 2 months, but it looks exactly the same size as when I bought it. Which means the full size solid cleanser would last for months or possibly for a year if you take a good care of it!<br />
<br />
If you haven't tried the REAL beautyblender, give it a go. In my opinion it's better to get one beautyblender than getting 10 dupes.<br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://item.rakuten.co.jp/annadonna/c/0000000167/" target="_blank">Every Colour Treatment in Grey</a></b></span><br />
I colour my hair every 3 months to maintain beautiful ashy brown. It gets yellowy and brassy after a week, so I'd always used purple shampoo and conditioner to reduce the brassiness. But it didn't work as much as I wanted it to do, so I switched my purple conditioner to this one. This is not a tinted hair treatment, it's more like a rinsable hair colour. I picked grey instead of purple to maintain the ashy tone in my hair -and it does wonders to my hair. I apply it all over my hair once every two weeks, and put the hair up and leave it for an hour to two. You are supposed to rinse it off after 5-10 minutes, but I leave it as long as I can. It makes my hair look super ashy but not too green or grey. They have various colours you can pick depending on your hair colour, such as red, pink, blue, green and purple. I of course repurchased and am currently using my 2nd tube.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://item.rakuten.co.jp/kenkocom/e394278h/" target="_blank">Fearful Hard Keep Oil Spray</a></b></span><br />
I've used up about 5 of this spray. I always get this small tin rather than the big one because it's handy to have in your handbag. It doesn't make your hair crispy at all but hold everything in place. I use it to smooth fluffy hair, or lock everything in place when I wear my hair up. It smells lovely, and works really well. I repurchased another tiny tin, and then finally got a big one recently to use at home.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://tidd.ly/fc61c01" target="_blank">KEBELO Clarifying Shampoo </a></b></span><br />
I got it in my lookfantastic beauty box which is one of the best beauty boxes I've ever tried. This clarifying shampoo is very intense that you are supposed to use once a month. I use it once in every two weeks to clean my scalp, it's refreshing and soothing. I like the subtle grapefruit scent as well.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://www.lorealparisjapan.jp/hair_care/extraordinary_oil/haircare_series/" target="_blank">L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil Hair Mask</a></b></span><br />
I LOVED this hair mask! It smells divine, and makes my hair feel so smooth without weighting it down. It's affordable and effective. There is no reason not to repurchase!<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://www.tresemme.com/product/detail/934773/perfectly-undone-sea-foam" target="_blank">TRESemmé Perfectly (un) Done Sea Form</a></b></span><br />
I got it as a freebie when I got ELLE magazine in the UK last year. I didn't expect it to be good at all, but it was actually impressively good. I take the foam on my palms, rub them together and lightly apply it on my hair focusing on the roots and sides around my years where I want the most volume when my hair is still bump. Once it's completely dry, you'd notice your hair is voluminous and kind of squeaky and tangly. It doesn't sound so good now that I described as squeaky and tangly, but believe me it does give the most natural volume. I use leave-in treatment in conjunction with this product though, to minimise messiness.<br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=4191861&cm_sp=FO-_-Hand+Soaps+%26+Sanitizers-_-Deep+Cleansing+Soap+&cp=12587004.12936131" target="_blank">Bath&Body Works Hand Soaps</a></b></span><br />
The only hand soaps I use are the ones from Bath&Body Works. I have at least 5 in stock no matter what. (For those who are wondering where I get them from, I usually buy them from Rakuten or Mercari) Lemonade one was OK, it smelt more like watermelon than lemonade. I LOVE Black Cherry Merlot very much that this was my 3rd or 4th bottle. I'm not a big fan of cherry scent usually, but this one is just heavenly.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://www.soapandglory.com/bath-body-care/bath-products/bath-shower-gel/clean-on-me-trade-mini" target="_blank">Soap&Glory Clean on Me</a></b></span><br />
I always want the bigger size, but my luggage is always overweight that I pick up this mini size instead. I simply love the smell of this shower gel, it's not overpowering but good enough to boost my femininity. I have one more bottle to go, and will be repurchasing tons when I'm back in the UK -which is very soon!<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://www.soapandglory.com/bath-body-care/bath-products/exfoliators/breakfast-scrub" target="_blank">Soap&Glory Breakfast Scrub</a></b></span><br />
It's SO old that it might have been off. It's now a part of the smoothiestar range, but it used to be just Breakfast Scrub. This is the best smelling body scrub ever, that I hope they never stop manufacturing. It smells like maple syrup, brown sugar and vanilla. It's also a very good body scrub that gets rid of dead skin cells without scratching the skin. The only downside is that it stings when my skin is a little sensitive, because it contains salt. I wish they would switch it to sugar, so that you can use it on damaged skin too.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://www.jomalone.jp/product/11563/27028/-/Peony-Blush-Suede-Cologne" target="_blank">Jo Malone Peony&Blush Suede</a></b></span><br />
This is my signature fragrance for sure. I now have the big bottle and I cannot get enough of it. It's even more expensive in Japan than it is in the UK which is ridiculous, but Jo Malone is definitely the queen of fragrance. This scent is a mixture of femininity and masculinity. Who would come up with an idea of mixing peony and suede? Genius.<br />
<br />
I hope you enjoyed it! One more empty post to go!<br />

<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OmxgyVAcyb4/VzctyHHdGgI/AAAAAAAAH9A/cpFCl-efKYg7gsqW7LCMtwhLdj5WfqlQgCLcB/s1600/P1300436.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OmxgyVAcyb4/VzctyHHdGgI/AAAAAAAAH9A/cpFCl-efKYg7gsqW7LCMtwhLdj5WfqlQgCLcB/s1600/P1300436.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
I feel bad whenever I get asked by some followers to recommend them some Japanese drugstore products, because I don't use Japanese products much unless they're given. I only have a couple of products I can recommend, such as RAFRA balm cleanser and Love Liner. So I came up with the idea of doing 'Popular Japanese Products' series on my blog, to give myself an opportunity to try more Japanese products, and you guys get to read my reviews at the same time. How efficient!<br />
<br />
Today's theme is 'makeup remover'. In Japan, micellar water isn't as popular as it is in the western world and I guess the reason is because Japanese people hate rubbing their face to remove makeup. Asian skin is said to be thinner than western skin, thus we are prone to pigmentation caused by friction. And also it simply irritates sensitive skin. You would be overwhelmed by the number of cleansers displayed if you visited Aintz&Tulpe's basement floor where they have skincare products. I had no idea which one to pick, but I managed to choose 3 popular makeup removers to compare.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9H3FJMF-gYg/Vzc3yBBgzuI/AAAAAAAAH90/Fdm7q4nwb9oahh50hgOlNBHexqkCusynQCLcB/s1600/P1300499.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9H3FJMF-gYg/Vzc3yBBgzuI/AAAAAAAAH90/Fdm7q4nwb9oahh50hgOlNBHexqkCusynQCLcB/s1600/P1300499.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
To test how they remove makeup, I used these products. From left, Mis"el Ady Liquid Eyeliner aka one of the hardest liquid eyeliner to remove, Kesalan Pathalan Smooth Lips, Nudestix Magnetic Eye Color and Anastasia Brow Pomade.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qd6xn8uqT8E/VzcyvvdOtcI/AAAAAAAAH9Y/j_3XMfS-je0d3LTLo1lIzadt5gZTS96vACLcB/s1600/P1300454.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qd6xn8uqT8E/VzcyvvdOtcI/AAAAAAAAH9Y/j_3XMfS-je0d3LTLo1lIzadt5gZTS96vACLcB/s1600/P1300454.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://www.hada-senka.com/products/perfect-watery-oil-n/" target="_blank">Shiseido Senka Perfect Watery Oil 980yen</a></b></span><br />
Their face wash <i>Perfect Whip</i> became popular more than a decade ago, and still is one of the most popular cleansers. I used to be a heavy user of the face wash until I became more fussy about skincare products in my mid-twenties. It was my first time to try out their oil, and I must say I was pretty impressed.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4xc9gifqwj4/VzcyuLCCsSI/AAAAAAAAH9Q/CWrYuXAAfP4QQBMzGvitUviHktf0kJbsQCLcB/s1600/P1300455.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4xc9gifqwj4/VzcyuLCCsSI/AAAAAAAAH9Q/CWrYuXAAfP4QQBMzGvitUviHktf0kJbsQCLcB/s1600/P1300455.JPG" style="cursor: move;" /></a></div>
<br />
The consistency is pretty watery as the name suggests. The top ingredient on the list is mineral oil, which I believe most of you hate. I self-studied dermatology to get to know more about skincare when I was into natural and organic beauty products, and I believed mineral oil was bad for your skin, but also found information that claims mineral oil back in the day contained impurities and irritative, but nowadays impurities are all removed from the oil and nothing is wrong with using the oil on the skin. It's completely up to you what to believe, but I don't care too much about it because my skin doesn't hate it anyway. To cut the long story short, I just wanted to mention that it contains mineral oil.<br />
<br />
The good thing about this cleanser is that you can use it with wet hands. Normally you need to apply cleansing oil to completely dry face with dry hands to dissolve makeup, sebum and dirt. But this one can be used in the shower, when both face and hands are wet. How convenient.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cZeYG-hEPe4/Vzcyu0vQudI/AAAAAAAAH9U/aw9QyT3fQeEtOZaD7rSQYYKVxUEQVixPwCLcB/s1600/P1300503.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cZeYG-hEPe4/Vzcyu0vQudI/AAAAAAAAH9U/aw9QyT3fQeEtOZaD7rSQYYKVxUEQVixPwCLcB/s1600/P1300503.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pFXzdZ0gwmc/VzcyxRbggeI/AAAAAAAAH9c/Kmz136Lg-5QcNBLArSBqqzLhdZER9JWWQCLcB/s1600/P1300507.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pFXzdZ0gwmc/VzcyxRbggeI/AAAAAAAAH9c/Kmz136Lg-5QcNBLArSBqqzLhdZER9JWWQCLcB/s1600/P1300507.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-W6cqumX1o48/VzcyyPGGifI/AAAAAAAAH9g/jNM5fXvCYiI5_P1bpAYdlsvhK0i2VSIRwCLcB/s1600/P1300510.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-W6cqumX1o48/VzcyyPGGifI/AAAAAAAAH9g/jNM5fXvCYiI5_P1bpAYdlsvhK0i2VSIRwCLcB/s1600/P1300510.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
It instantly removed everything besides the eyeliner. See, I told you this is pain in the butt to remove it! Apparently this cleanser contains 'mascara remover' which makes it easy to remove waterproof mascara. Well, it didn't remove the waterproof eyeliner though.<br />
<br />
I love the floral scent which isn't too overpowering at all. The texture is very smooth just like normal cleansing oil, and it rinses off quickly with warm water. No need to use muslin cloth, Japanese oil cleansers are designed to be removable with warm water.<br />
<br />
It leaves moisturising feel to the skin, which is perfect for dry skin yet not too heavy for combination to oily skin. A bonus point is that it contains hyaluronic acid too.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cWjFo4XS3SA/Vzc7foExq6I/AAAAAAAAH-A/cojoE7l8zr43o7gskoaNEgs_GMwICX6HwCLcB/s1600/P1300461.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cWjFo4XS3SA/Vzc7foExq6I/AAAAAAAAH-A/cojoE7l8zr43o7gskoaNEgs_GMwICX6HwCLcB/s1600/P1300461.JPG" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://www.kosecosmeport.co.jp/face/cleansing/wjpn.html" target="_blank">Softymo Super Point Makeup Remover 647yen</a></b></span><br />
This remover was recommended by Sami from <b><a href="http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2025_business_hotels.html" target="_blank">Makeup Wasteland</a> </b>when I mentioned Mis"el Ady Liquid Eyeliner would never come off completely. This gel consistency eye-makeup remover is neutral just like your tears, which makes it less harsh to your eyes. The thick formula removes your eye makeup instantly that you don't need to rub your eyes which is the most sensitive area of your face.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EwDvWHu76wE/Vzc7fsuL99I/AAAAAAAAH-E/Dr_Yp_SSlp8ikh_74AevlL3KPSqAEm5-gCLcB/s1600/P1300515.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EwDvWHu76wE/Vzc7fsuL99I/AAAAAAAAH-E/Dr_Yp_SSlp8ikh_74AevlL3KPSqAEm5-gCLcB/s1600/P1300515.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
As you can see, it's pretty thick. If you put this cotton pad directly to your eyes, it might go into your eyes and causes irritation. I make sure the makeup remover is soaked completely into the cotton pad, then place it on the eyes and leave it for a couple of seconds without rubbing.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6xTMCOJMxXU/Vzc7frVrvyI/AAAAAAAAH-I/iM3RPA4W-lQwuUZMhN3wHClCv5qRFoYwgCLcB/s1600/P1300522.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6xTMCOJMxXU/Vzc7frVrvyI/AAAAAAAAH-I/iM3RPA4W-lQwuUZMhN3wHClCv5qRFoYwgCLcB/s1600/P1300522.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
Sami mentioned it would remove the eyeliner easily, but for some reason it didn't work as good on me. It could be the combination of the eyeliner and my skin -no idea what that means but hey, something could be wrong with my skin- but it takes two cotton pads to remove my makeup on one eye.<br />
<br />
It's fragrance-free which is suitable for sensitive skin, and it's also oil-free that's perfect for those who hate the oily residue some eye-makeup remover leaves on the skin. Hyaluronic acid and provitamine B5 protect your lashes. I use it to remove my eye makeup only when I'm wearing heavy makeup but it does shorten the makeup removal process which I appreciate.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LSgyKzOhQOk/VzdCaoBdKYI/AAAAAAAAH-g/O7Pn_cIEF3cORgj553QEvbXfaPbDhlLAwCLcB/s1600/P1300481.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LSgyKzOhQOk/VzdCaoBdKYI/AAAAAAAAH-g/O7Pn_cIEF3cORgj553QEvbXfaPbDhlLAwCLcB/s1600/P1300481.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><a href="http://www.bifesta.jp/uruochi/lineup/sheet.html" target="_blank">Bifesta Bright up Cleansing Sheet 550yen </a></b></span><br />
Bifesta is famous for their micellar water -which I believe is the most popular drugstore micellar water- and this is the face-wipe version from the same series. They have 3 different types of makeup wipes you can choose depending on your skin type. I picked up 'Bright up' one which contains AHA and moisturising vitamin C to clear up the complexion. There are 'Moist' and 'Enrich' ones as well.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iqy0DRRXteQ/VzdCZz37ZNI/AAAAAAAAH-Y/ePt-oGOtUhgik3qPUW7DiXZBZf6w99YsgCLcB/s1600/P1300483.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iqy0DRRXteQ/VzdCZz37ZNI/AAAAAAAAH-Y/ePt-oGOtUhgik3qPUW7DiXZBZf6w99YsgCLcB/s1600/P1300483.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
It was very hard to capture how wet the wipes are, but can you see the small pool around my finger? It's pretty wet which reduces friction and irritation caused by the harsh material. I like how soft the wipe is, it's not irritating at all on the skin which is always a plus.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LC-1zEc48mI/VzdCalyDQXI/AAAAAAAAH-c/CgkHVqrYx3YtxRXNkDDRcm_mesktlqqSQCLcB/s1600/P1300489.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LC-1zEc48mI/VzdCalyDQXI/AAAAAAAAH-c/CgkHVqrYx3YtxRXNkDDRcm_mesktlqqSQCLcB/s1600/P1300489.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
Another good thing I must mention is that this packaging is genius. The most annoying thing is that when you try to take one wipe, another comes with it and you have to put it back in. Worse is that the wipe gets dried out the next day -and the worst case scenario is the whole pack gets dried up. Bifesta's makeup wipes never do that. This genius packaging allows you to take only one wipe each time. Also the lid is actually plastic, not a sticker that loses stickiness after 3 uses.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iDneM5LO8ms/VzdCdABtCSI/AAAAAAAAH-k/b3CfqChvkZ047sLikMd5bxskqEadCv2AQCLcB/s1600/P1300496.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iDneM5LO8ms/VzdCdABtCSI/AAAAAAAAH-k/b3CfqChvkZ047sLikMd5bxskqEadCv2AQCLcB/s1600/P1300496.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
The wipe is 15cm x 20cm which is pretty big. Use on dry skin start from wiping the whole face gently. Then I fold it and sandwich my eyelashes to remove my mascara, then wipe around my eyes even more gently. Because it's pretty wet, it's not harsh on the skin. It removes not only makeup but dirt and dead skin cells, which is of course a plus.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2coMfax6iOc/VzdCfDClciI/AAAAAAAAH-o/vqQ28do5xXojf7O_jF3l7Ev4ojXYtxY_ACLcB/s1600/P1300527.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2coMfax6iOc/VzdCfDClciI/AAAAAAAAH-o/vqQ28do5xXojf7O_jF3l7Ev4ojXYtxY_ACLcB/s1600/P1300527.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
So, I placed a wipe on the skin covering the half of the area I put makeup on, and waited for 10 seconds. Then, gently wipe the skin off trying not to rub the skin.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tM2QH1Oxhos/VzdCfjZDDtI/AAAAAAAAH-s/nyWfVW1HuT8l9zPSzurn1FB8ZUqnD15ZwCLcB/s1600/P1300532.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tM2QH1Oxhos/VzdCfjZDDtI/AAAAAAAAH-s/nyWfVW1HuT8l9zPSzurn1FB8ZUqnD15ZwCLcB/s1600/P1300532.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
You can see the only product it removed completely is the lipstick. The traces of brow pomade and eyeshadow are visible although the other two I mentioned earlier completely removed them. As for the eyeliner, words are not needed to describe how disappointed I was. I added 10 more seconds to the test after taking this photo but it didn't make a big difference.<br />
<br />
I don't think this is a perfect makeup remover to use on its own, but in combination with other cleansers, I actually find it convenient. I usually remove my makeup and cleanse my skin at the same time with RAFRA cleansing balm. It does remove my makeup very well but sometimes I have panda eyes after rinsing my face. That's when it comes in very handy. I fold the wipe into four, then remove the makeup left around my eyes using the edge. It works better than using the eye makeup remover with a cotton pad because it's thinner and edgier. I also use it to remove a part of my makeup in the morning when I screw up. I don't recommend to rely on it, but it's handy to have for sure.<br />
<br />
Phew, I wonder why my posts are freaking long all the time. I wonder if there is someone who's read it all, but if you did thank you so much and hope you enjoyed!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I had been accumulating empty products since December without paying attention to the magnitude of the situation. My big bag was full of empty products...actually it was overflowing. I finally took photos of them and started writing a blog post on my Japanese blog, Beau Tea Time, and realised nobody would read it if I tried to fit it into one post because it would be too long.<br />
<br />
So I decided to write 3 separate posts about my rubbish.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KGmNX1qlugM/Vy6Kszygm5I/AAAAAAAAH8g/_xTz_0YWBCMvso8KmvSMI2JqwGneJBm-gCKgB/s1600/P1290973%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KGmNX1qlugM/Vy6Kszygm5I/AAAAAAAAH8g/_xTz_0YWBCMvso8KmvSMI2JqwGneJBm-gCKgB/s1600/P1290973%2B2.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #636363; font-size: 19px; font-weight: 700; letter-spacing: 1px;"><a href="http://www.soapandglory.com/skincare/skincare-products/cleansers-makeup-removers/soap-glorytm-peaches-and-cleantm" style="-webkit-transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out; background-position: 0px 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #b49b6b; text-decoration: none; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean</span></a></span><br />
I believe Peaches and Clean have changed its packaging and formula a couple of times in the past. I heard the 1st one was amazing, and then they changed the formula and made the package smaller, which was rubbish, so they changed it again and that is the one sold at Boots right now. Mine is rubbish one I believe -it's smaller and didn't do much to my skin. But I loved it. The realistic scent of fresh peach is always refreshing to use, and the texture is just perfect to use in the morning. The only downside is the pump. As you can see I still had 20% of the product left in the bottle but the pump stopped dispensing and it was paint in the butt to remove the pump and shake the bottle in the shower. I will definitely repurchase the newer version when I come back to the UK this summer.<br />
<br />
<span style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #636363; font-size: 12px; font-weight: 700; letter-spacing: 1px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14pt;"><a href="http://www.rafra.co.jp/products/detail.php?product_id=93" style="-webkit-transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out; background-position: 0px 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #b49b6b; text-decoration: none; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: inherit;">RAFRA Balm Orange Yuzu&Honey </span></a></span></span><br />
RAFRA is my favourite balm cleanser. It's better than EVELOM and CLINIQUE, I absolutely swear by it. I much prefer the original version to this limited one. The scent is too subtle that it didn't WOW me at all, and everything else is exactly the same as the original -no point of buying the limited one.<br />
<br />
<span style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #636363; font-size: 12px; font-weight: 700; letter-spacing: 1px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14pt;"><a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Botanics-97-Organic-Hot-Cloth-Cleansing-Balm-70ml_1262019/" style="-webkit-transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out; background-position: 0px 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #b49b6b; text-decoration: none; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Boots Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm</span></a></span></span><br />
Danielle from <b><a href="http://famousinjapan.co.uk/" target="_blank">Famous in Japan</a></b> kindly sent it to me when we did a parcel swap a long time ago. Unlike Japanese balm cleansers, western balm cleansers are pretty oily that you must use a muslin cloth to remove them. I personally am not a big fan of rubbing my skin with a cloth, especially around my eyes where I already have terrible pigmentation, but those oily balm cleansers remove makeup like magic. The cleanser itself is very good quality for the price point in my opinion, and I would repurchase it if I didn't mind using a cloth along with it.<br />
<br />
<span style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #636363; font-size: 12px; font-weight: 700; letter-spacing: 1px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14pt;"><a href="http://www.the-body-shop.co.jp/shop/g/g233361/" style="-webkit-transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out; background-position: 0px 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #b49b6b; text-decoration: none; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">The Body Shop Chamomile Cleansing Butter</span></a></span></span><br />
It was my 3rd jar of this cleansing balm, and I felt like they've changed the formula. Maybe it was just me, but it felt a little oilier. I usually do not use a cloth to remove this cleanser because it rinses off perfectly without it. But this one left an oily residue on my skin which was uncomfortable. It might be good for dry skin, but having combination skin I wasn't a big fan of it. I might not repurchase it anymore.<br />
<br />
<span style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #636363; font-size: 12px; font-weight: 700; letter-spacing: 1px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14pt;"><a href="http://www.ansage.jp/products/wash/?ad_code=35&utm_source=monipla&utm_medium=banner&utm_campaign=monipla_ws" style="-webkit-transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out; background-position: 0px 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #b49b6b; text-decoration: none; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: inherit;">ansage Arti Wash</span><span style="font-family: , "yu gothic" , "yugothic" , "pro" , "hiragino kaku gothic pro" , , "meiryo" , "osaka" , , "ms pgothic" , sans-serif;"> </span></a></span></span><br />
I used up this lovely face wash from ansage, which is called Arti Wash because it contains Artichoke extract. I liked it very much because it didn't strip off the natural oil on my face, and left my skin feel super smooth and refreshed. It's a very basic face wash I must say, but I really enjoyed it and would like to repurchase if I have an opportunity.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.kiehls.jp/?p_id=K00089" style="-webkit-transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out; background-position: 0px 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #b49b6b; font-family: 游ゴシック体, 'Yu Gothic', YuGothic, 'ヒラギノ角ゴシック Pro', 'Hiragino Kaku Gothic Pro', メイリオ, Meiryo, Osaka, 'MS Pゴシック', 'MS PGothic', sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; font-weight: 700; letter-spacing: 1px; text-decoration: none; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;">Kiehl's Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash</a><br />
It took me more than 6 months to use up this bottle because a tiny bit goes a long way. It's a perfect cleanser for normal to combination skin in my opinion, as it leaves enough moisture while removing excess oil and dirt on the skin. It didn't remove my makeup at all, so I was using it as a morning cleanser and it worked perfectly. Definitely worth the price tag, and I will repurchase it for sure in the future.<br />

First I thought it contained too much alcohol because it smelt and felt like pure ethanol, but surprisingly it did not irritate my skin at all -it was actually very refreshing and I loved how it makes my skin feel. Despite the fact it contains alcohol, it did not dry out my skin either, and made my skin soft and supple. I loved the scent as well -just like other skincare products from the brand, it smelt divine. I am not sure about the whitening effect to be honest, but I enjoyed this lotion very much.<br />
<br />
<span style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #636363; font-family: , "yu gothic" , "yugothic" , "ヒラギノ角ゴシック pro" , "hiragino kaku gothic pro" , , "meiryo" , "osaka" , "ms pゴシック" , "ms pgothic" , sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: 700; letter-spacing: 1px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14pt;"><a href="http://www.kiehls.jp/?p_id=K00028" style="-webkit-transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out; background-position: 0px 0px; background-repeat: initial initial; box-sizing: border-box; color: #b49b6b; text-decoration: none; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank">Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream</a> </span></span><br />
This cream is super unique. It's such a basic cream far from trend and fashionability that I first thought was too boring, but no other cream works like this product. It's got no scent and the packaging looks pretty boring. It's not a kind of face cream that excites you. But whenever my skin feels dry or unstable or too sensitive, I switch my day and night cream to this one. It's THAT reliable. I am kind of freaking out that now I'm out of this. I will definitely repurchase it -maybe at duty free in July- because this is one of the best face creams I've ever used.<br />
<br />
<span style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #636363; font-size: 12px; font-weight: 700; letter-spacing: 1px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><a href="http://www.clinique.co.uk/product/12254/21189/Skin-Care/superdefense/Superdefense-SPF-20-Age-Defense-Eye-Cream/index.tmpl" style="-webkit-transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out; background-position: 0px 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #b49b6b; text-decoration: none; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;">Clinique Superdefense Age Defense Eye Cream </a> </span></span></span><br />
Although I was using it every single morning before makeup, it took me a year and a half to use up this tiny tube. It's slightly tinted but not enough coverage to hide my dark circles. I loved the fact it had SPF20 to protect my eye area from sun damage -because I already have tiny dark spots there and I wanted to prevent more spots. The only downside is that it separates towards the end, it was really messy by the time I finished the tube.<br />
<br />
<span style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #636363; font-size: 12px; font-weight: 700; letter-spacing: 1px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><a href="http://tidd.ly/d5181c48" style="-webkit-transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out; background-position: 0px 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #b49b6b; text-decoration: none; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_new">Elemis Hydra-Balance Day Cream</a> </span></span></span><br />
Thanks to lookfantastic beauty box for introducing this cream! First of all, the scent of Neroli is absolutely beautiful. Secondly, the texture is very creamy and moisturising which is perfect in a colder month. Made specially for normal to combination skin, this cream leaves enough moisture on the skin without being too greasy. I was using it during winter before makeup. Though I never skipped a step of blotting an excess oil of the cream with tissue before applying a foundation primer, I did't feel this cream was too heavy for my combination skin. It might be a little too rich during a warmer season, but I really enjoyed it in winter.<br />
<br />
<span style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #636363; font-size: 12px; font-weight: 700; letter-spacing: 1px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14pt;"><a href="https://www.tatcha.com/" style="-webkit-transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out; background-position: 0px 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #b49b6b; text-decoration: none; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: inherit;">tatcha</span></a></span></span><br />
Just to clarify -tatcha is not a Japanese brand, it's an American brand inspired from Japanese culture. Their branding, concept and packaging are absolutely beautiful that I was very impressed -it's capturing the essence of Japanese culture very well. But now I've used up 3 of their products, I am not sure if they are worth the price tag.<br />
<br />
One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil was raved by Caroline Hirons, and she said 'this oil is too luxurious to remove makeup' and recommended to remove makeup with a cheaper makeup remover, and use this oil to cleanse the skin. I liked this silky oil too because it wasn't oily at all, yet left my skin lovely and supple.<br />
<br />
Deep Brightening Serum is something I was a little disappointed with. It's not a bad product at all, but I simply didn't think it was worth $185.<br />
<br />
<span style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #636363; font-size: 12px; font-weight: 700; letter-spacing: 1px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><a href="http://www.clinique.jp/product/1683/4769/All-About-Eyes" style="-webkit-transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out; background-position: 0px 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #b49b6b; text-decoration: none; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;">Clinique All About Eyes</a> </span></span></span><br />
A very basic eye cream that I would be happy to receive as GWP or something, but I don't think I would dash to the counter and buy another jar of it.<br />
<br />
<span style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #636363; font-size: 12px; font-weight: 700; letter-spacing: 1px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14pt;"><a href="http://www.esteelauder.co.jp/product/689/26959/Product-Catalog/Advanced-Night-Repair/Synchronized-Recovery-Complex-II/index.tmpl" style="-webkit-transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out; background-position: 0px 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #b49b6b; text-decoration: none; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Esteé Lauder Advanced Night Repair SR Complex II</span></a></span></span><br />
You all know it's a magic serum, don't you? It plumps up the skin instantly that you can see the difference in the morning when applied this serum the night before. I'm not keen on the smell -it's rare for an Esteé Lauder product not to have an amazing scent, but I can handle it especially because the result is fantastic. I just started using my 2nd bottle and I don't think I can live without it. I need 5 backup bottles!<br />
<br />
<span style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #636363; font-size: 12px; font-weight: 700; letter-spacing: 1px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><a href="https://www.esteelauder.com/product/681/35205/Product-Catalog/Skincare/Nutritious-Vitality8-Night/Radiant-Overnight-CremeMask" style="-webkit-transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out; background-position: 0px 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #b49b6b; text-decoration: none; transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;" target="_blank" title="">Vitality8™ NightRadiant Overnight Creme/Mask</a> </span></span></span><br />
This cream (also from Esteé Lauder) was nice but nothing special in my opinion. I've tried 3-4 different types of Esteé Lauder face creams but this one was my least favourite. It smelt lovely and felt nice on the skin, but I didn't feel like it was moisturising as it claimed. Apparently this cream would give nutrients to your skin, but I didn't see any positive nor negative difference after using it for a couple of months. I wouldn't repurchase it again, they have better face creams!<br />
<br />
I believe you're super tired from reading my crap...but thank you! 2 more posts related to empties are coming up soon so stay tuned :)<br />

I am not complaining here, but nobody told me Deep Cleansing Gel from Real Techniques was THIS good. Actually, I hadn't heard beauty bloggers/ YouTubers talking about this product much until I specifically searched for some reviews.<br />
<br />
Whenever I purchase Real Techniques' products, I always order on iHerb.com because it's very cheap. Well, I believe the price is the same as RP in the US, but it's much cheaper than buying them on eBay or even from Boots in the UK. Real Techniques is an American brand apparently, which is why RP in the US is cheaper than what it is in the UK. iHerb offers pretty reasonable shipping rate, and it arrives within 3-4 working days from the states which is pretty good, so I shop there quite often. If you're interested and new to iHerb.com, you can use my referral code 'FQS584' to get $5.00 discount on your first order.<br />
<br />
Anyway, I just purchased this cleanser because I was running out of my Dr, Bronner Magic Soap and was looking for something better to cleans my brushes with. Magic Soap works amazingly and I love how clean my brushes get after washing them with the cleanser, but it stinks. It smelt OK at the beginning, but as it gets older the smell changed slightly and I just cannot stand this weird smell anymore. I love Real Techniques' brushes, so I thought, why not?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vJLSHIs_fi4/VyjNh6rXMtI/AAAAAAAAH8E/Cv0bZMuiK0ARLBgJW2GqzGNTl6AHQp0ZQCKgB/s1600/P1290941%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vJLSHIs_fi4/VyjNh6rXMtI/AAAAAAAAH8E/Cv0bZMuiK0ARLBgJW2GqzGNTl6AHQp0ZQCKgB/s1600/P1290941%2B2.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
The packaging is slim and pretty. The only thing I don't like about it is this lid. They should have made it with a pump rather than this type of lid, because the texture of the cleanser is pretty thick sometimes it doesn't come out. Every time I use it, I have to shake the bottle so that the cleanser comes down to the lid otherwise nothing comes out. Also with this lid, it's hard to control how much product to dispense.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-o9pWlOy1WFE/VyjNin2sXLI/AAAAAAAAH8E/W1R2SyN2n8UYNo8YBn3aI-vSR2JfWPyHACKgB/s1600/P1290942%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-o9pWlOy1WFE/VyjNin2sXLI/AAAAAAAAH8E/W1R2SyN2n8UYNo8YBn3aI-vSR2JfWPyHACKgB/s1600/P1290942%2B2.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
The texture is pretty thick like I mentioned. I usually use it with <b><a href="http://sigma-beauty.7eer.net/c/223521/171912/2835?aadid=EG001&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sigmabeauty.com%2Fspa-express-brush-cleaning-glove%2Fp%2FEG001" target="_blank">Sigma Spa Express Brush Cleaning Glove</a></b>. This glove is well handy that it makes me want to wash my brushes! I apply a cherry-sized amount on the glove, wet a brush with warm water and swirl it on the glove. I often wash 3-4 eyeshadow brushes together to save time and use of cleanser. You might struggle to distribute the cleanser evenly on the brushes at the beginning because of the texture of the cleanser, but once it's lathers up it should work fine.<br />
<br />
The best part of this cleanser is the scent. I've read / seen some reviews on this product in the past but nobody -or nobody that I remember- mentioned how great it smelt. It smells very unique that I've never come across any cleansers smell like this. It smells like tea. You know tea-scented fragrance like Au the Rouge from BVLGARI or Penhaligon's Lothair...this cleanser has got a similar note which I believe is tea. The scent is pretty weak that it won't leave the lovely scent on the brushes once they're dry, but it makes the washing process even more enjoyable.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2lIcQIX0jmE/VyjNmo7OOJI/AAAAAAAAH8I/yo6OscNgGt08RUnBbhbpQCIcTkj2h4ccgCKgB/s1600/P1290948%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2lIcQIX0jmE/VyjNmo7OOJI/AAAAAAAAH8I/yo6OscNgGt08RUnBbhbpQCIcTkj2h4ccgCKgB/s1600/P1290948%2B2.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
I'm going to show you how clean this brush would get with the cleanser and the glove. It's Sigma Flattop Kabuki which is my favourite brush to apply liquid foundation with. It's unbelievable how flawless it makes my skin looks!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0X0apb_rMB8/VyjNnyZxzGI/AAAAAAAAH8I/_PSU2fwUsBMmL9bX70XGYLj7McZhkGTdQCKgB/s1600/P1290956%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0X0apb_rMB8/VyjNnyZxzGI/AAAAAAAAH8I/_PSU2fwUsBMmL9bX70XGYLj7McZhkGTdQCKgB/s1600/P1290956%2B2.JPG" /></a></div>
<br />
As you can see, it doesn't lather up too much when the brush is dense. It creates loads of bubbles when I wash something like eyeshadow brush and blush brush, but buffing brush, kabuki brush and concealer brush are always harder to create lather with.<br />
<br />
This glove has two sides by the way, one side shown in the photo above is for smaller brushes such as eyeshadow brush and concealer brush, and another side has bigger bumps designed to be used for bigger brushes. I personally like this side of the glove for some reason for any brushes -I feel this side cleans brushes better and quicker.<br />

After swirling the brush for about a minute, I rinsed it with warm water and dries quickly with a towel. You still can see that the foundation is stained in the middle section of the brush, which I tried my best to get rid of but I assume it's stained. It didn't come off no matter how many times I washed it afterwards.<br />

I still think Dr. Bronner's soap cleanses the brush better, but considering how great it smells Real Techniques is a winner in my opinion. Magic Soap leaves such a disgusting scent on the brushes which is a very big matter to me. Deep Cleansing Gel from Real Techniques cleans the brushes efficiently and quickly enough, and the pleasant scent motivates you to wash them regularly. The packaging looks pretty and the price is affordable. I will definitely repurchase it once I've run out of the current bottle. It's definitely worth trying if you're looking for a good brush cleanser!<br />
