March Empties

Although I was away for 2 weeks, I used up quite a few products during the month of March. Some of the products are talked about here in the past, some of them aren't, but anyway I'm going to get started!

Giovanni Smooth As Silk Deep Moisture Shampoo icon
Giovanni Smooth As Silk Deeper Moisture Conditioner icon
These are the samples which came with a book which was sent to my company. I wasn't interested in Giovanni though I have heard of many good reviews, but decided to give it a try. Although they're supposed to be "Deep(er) Moisture", they didn't feel like moisturizing at all. Maybe just because my hair was too dry and fine, but they tangled my hair and didn't give shine to it. The scent was OK but wasn't strong enough to stay on my hair which was disappointing. I didn't understand why people are raving about them, but please let me know if you know any other series of Giovanni which might be suitable for my dry, damaged and fine hair!

Leivy Double Moisturising Body Shampoo ( full review)
I loved this shower gel so much that I used it every day. At first I thought the scent was too old-fashioned as it reminded me of my grandma's makeup table. But once I was used to it, I was in love with it. Especially the scent left on my skin after having a shower was amazing. It smells fresh and clean yet powdery and feminine. Also it's pretty moisturizing which is perfect for winter. I got it as a PR sample and thought of purchasing it but I don't think I would any time soon just because I've got many other shower gels waiting to be opened.

Foot Scrub
I don't even remember the brand of this foot scrub but I'm sure I got it as a PR sample as well. I didn't like it at all as the texture was just weird. I can't be bothered to describe how weird it was because it was such a terrible product which is not worth talking about. I don't mean to be rude but it didn't do anything to my feet and didn't smell nice either. What's the point of using a body scrub which doesn't work?

Balance me Radiance Face Oil
The best face oil ever. Full stop. I got this sample when I purchased their body cream and eye cream on lookfantastic.com. It's such a light oil which sinks into the skin really quickly without making my whole face greasy. It's very moisturizing and makes my skin soft and smooth. Obviously I don't recommend using it in the morning before putting makeup on but it's a perfect oil to use at night. When my skin felt dry, I put one pump of the oil on my palm and gently patted on my skin and I could see the difference the next morning. Another good point of this product is that it doesn't have a weird smell. The actual product is 30pound for 30ml which isn't the cheapest in the world but I don't think it's overpriced as a little goes a long way. The bottle could last almost a year (only if it allows you to)! Now they have a special offer on lookfantastic.com where I put the link above, check it out!

"Balance Me Radiance Face Oil is a light, absorbent 100% natural radiance enhancer with powerful Amazonian buriti nut oil. Combats congested skin with conditioning moringa and camellia oils that work with calming Roman chamomile, yarrow and benzoin to enhance the radiance of skin of all ages and types. The perfect skin pick me up, this highly concentrated formula has a delicious orange blossom aroma, skin is left calmed and balanced."

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic
I loved this toner so much! I kept this small bottle for special occasions as it was kind of like my secret weapon! Whenever I felt my skin was dehydrated I put about a tea spoon of this toner on my organic cotton wool pad from The Body Shop and wiped my skin gently. Once I wipe the whole face, I place the cotton pad on the dry areas and gently push the cotton pad so that the toner seeps through it and skins into my skin. I usually keep doing it for more than 5 minutes, I found it soothing even! That's my quick cure of dry skin!

Rosa Centifolia Cleansing Gel (from the travel kit for normal skin)
I bought the travel kit for normal skin on lookfantastic.com about 6 months ago. I decided to take this cleansing gel with me to London. I mainly used it in the morning as I didn't expect it to remove my makeup. Overall it's an OK product but I don't think I would purchase the full-size bottle.  It's got a runny, loose gel texture which I'm not a big fan of. The rosy scent isn't too bad as it's not overpowering at all and I found it quite soothing but that was the only thing about this product which impressed me.

SUSY N.Y. Nail Volume Gloss
This is my 2nd bottle of this product. I'm totally in love with this top coat as it gives a shiny and glossy finish to my nails! I remember it's about 1,000yen which isn't too bad considering the fact it lasts at least 3-4 months. It gets gloopy after a few months so I need to add some thinner liquid. I've used top coats from many different brands from OPI to Seche but this one is the best so far. I'm going to repurchase for sure!

THREE Glam Touch Lip Gloss in Summer Sounds
THREE is a Japanese skincare / makeup brand. I love the concept and their chic and sophisticated packaging designs, as well as the products themselves. This colour is called Summer Sounds which was one of the limited colours which was sold in the summer 2012 (or 2011, not sure). It's a perfect pink beige which brightens up the whole face. It's shimmers in it which reflect lights beautifully. I loved the plastic applicator which was much easier to apply on my lips than a sponge applicator. The formula is in a perfect consistency, not too greasy yet moisturizing. I dropped by the duty-free shop at Narita airport hoping to purchase another colour the other day, but unfortunately none of the colours they have now could beat this colour. This was the best lip gloss I'd ever used.

Lancôme Virtuôse Divine Lasting Curves & Length Mascara
I loved this mascara so much and was wearing it every single day until I got Loreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara. It separates my lashes as well as creating voluminous lashes. And it's so easy to remove just with warm water without a trace although it doesn't smudge at all during the day. It's a very good mascara which I would love to repurchase...only if I was richer!

Sorry this post became pretty long and boring, I should learn how to write simpler and shorter reviews! Let me know if you've used any of those products I mentioned here!

Soap and Glory MINIs

I went to Boots the day after my arrival in London. I needed to shop immediately so that I can go back there as many times as I want just in case they have different offers or I forget buying something. Also I needed to pick up some essentials such as my shower gel, toothpaste and bath lily. I was going to pick up some products from Soap and Glory including The Breakfast Scrub which is my favourite and Sugar Crush which I heard good things about, but as they were too big and heavy I gave up bringing them back to Japan. Instead I got some minis with an offer which I remember was 3 for £7 or something.

CLEAN ON ME
Even though I didn't like the scent originally, I decided to pick this one up rather than CLEAN, GIRLS. The weird thing is that last time I smelled this Original Pink Fragrance was in Japan and I absolutely hated it. It was too perfumey and overpowering to me. But this time I didn't mind the smell at all, I even thought it was kind of a good smell. I guess it was because of the air or humidity or temperature or something like that, because you can handle stronger scents in colder temperature.

I really enjoyed using this shower gel in England but because of the water and dry air, my skin was so dry. It's my fault because I didn't take any body moisturizer and couldn't be bothered to buy one. I know it sounds stupid but I regretted that I didn't try to rescue my skin a few days before I flew back to Japan because it was itching and bleeding and miserable. So the point I'm trying to make is that I cannot judge whether it's the kind of shower gel which dries out your skin or not. I'm going to try to use it in Japan to judge, but so far I didn't think it was moisturizing unfortunately.

GLAD HAIR DAY THICK CONDITIONER
I picked it up because I didn't want to open my Aussie hair treatment during my stay. But I guess I should have gone for Glad Hair Day Conditioner instead of Glad Hair Day THICK Conditioner because Glad Hair Day is supposed to be made for fine hair which I have. Obviously this conditioner is too light for me and isn't moisturizing enough. It makes my hair frizzy and dry. I didn't hate the smell of peach or some kind of fruits but I stopped using it and gave it to my mum who's got really thick hair.

HAND MAID
I never use hand sanitizer in Japan although I travel on the train everyday. I wash my hands when I get to work or before eating something. But when I was in England, somehow I felt the need of carrying hand sanitizer in my bag. I picked this one up instead of a normal boring one which doesn't have any scents. But this one's got the scent of Original Pink Fragrance which is a bit too strong for me especially before eating, that's why I barely used it during my stay.

Let me know how often do you use hand sanitizer like HAND MAID, do you use it in daily basis? Or do you use it occasionally when you travel or something?

NIVEA Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose and Caramel Creme

NIVEA Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose and Caramel Creme
£1.99 each at Superdrug

These products are the ones I was looking forward to trying out for a few months as I'd read many good reviews about them. It was sold for £2.5 at Boots but it was £1.99 at Superdrug. I was lucky to find it out after returning the ones I bought from Boots as they were used, I ended up saving about £1! Boots was pretty rude about me returning the used products, so I assume it happens all the time and people would check inside before they buy something. I didn't think of the possibility that the products are used, I thought it was rude to open the products I haven't paid for -maybe that was too Japanesey and silly. Anyway, after I returned the used-products, I found that they were cheaper at Superdrug when I dropped by so I bought them without hesitation.

Caramel Cream smells divine. It smells like caramel popcorn, with this nutty fragrance I love. It doesn't have any perfumey scents some lip balms have, which taste disgusting when you lick your lips accidentally.

And this Raspberry Rose was a little bit of surprise for me as I didn't think I would like the scent from the name of it. I love raspberries but don't like rosy-scented lip products just because I prefer sweeter scents on my lips. But this one doesn't have a strong rosy scent at all and instead it smells of raspberry candy. I love the scent so much that I keep re-applying every 5 minutes just to enjoy the scent.

They both have this soft and kind of oily texture. It stays on the lips rather than sinking in quickly, which made me worry that it wouldn't be nourishing and moisturizing. But no need to worry, it IS moisturizing. I read some reviews saying that it's not moisturizing and it doesn't do anything except smelling good but in my opinion it's quite good lip balm. I recommend you to try it out if you're into those scents, it's not going to destroy your bank as it's only £1.99!

Have you tried this product? What's your thought?

MyChelle Love Your Lips

MyChelle Love Your Lips Raspberry Cherry Pineapple $9.92 icon

I found this product when I was browsing Vitacost a couple of months ago. Actually it was their facial mask which caught my attention and I couldn't resist trying out some of the products from this brand called MyChelle. MyChelle is an American brand which uses naturally-derived ingredients as much as possible. Their products are not the cheapest of the world but many people left positive feedback about them. As I love lip balm, I wanted to try this one out just because who wouldn't want to try a lip balm which claims to smell of raspberry, cherry and pineapple?

First of all, this lip balm is huge. You can see that this lip balm is twice the size of a normal lip balm like Burt's Bees one. Whenever I use it in front of co-workers or friends, they ask "What is that, a glue stick?" and I cannot blame them. It DOES look like a glue stick.

But trust me, this is one of the best lip balms I've ever used. And I've used so many lip balms that I don't even remember how many. My lips are very dry and sensitive, and some lip balms make them even dryer, and the skin peels off and it starts bleeding. But with this lip balm that would never happen. It's such a gentle lip balm which I guess is suitable for anyone.

It doesn't make my lips too shiny which is good when I want to apply a lipstick on top. I found it a perfect base for a lipstick.

And it smells so good like a bubblegum. I don't smell raspberry but it does smell of cherry and pineapple. Another good thing about this product is that it doesn't taste horrible when it comes into my mouth. I hate it when a lip balm or lipstick tastes so bad even if it smells nice.

If you've got very dry / sensitive lips, you should try it out. Also for those who are looking for a good-smelling lip balm, I would recommend this one! Have you heard of MyChelle? Are you a fan of the brand?

January Empties 2013

DSCN0164

It's February already! I'm so happy that winter is almost finished (in my head) and Spring will come very soon! In Japan Cherry Blossoms will start blooming from the end of March and that tells me that Spring has come. I can't wait for Spring, because it's my favourite season of the year! Anyway, because I didn't do Empties post in December, I have a quite few empty bottles here for you!

DSCN0175

Caudalie Gentle Cleanser
This is such a nice cleanser! This milky formula which smells divine removes dirt and makeup on the skin really gently as the name claims. It leaves my skin soft and moisturized, it doesn't feel dry even 5 minutes after I've washed my face. It lasted pretty long as I only needed a tiny amount to wash my whole face. My favourite part of this cleanser was the scent, I cannot describe it well but it smells very clean and fresh. I totally recommend this cleanser if you're looking for cleansing milk. I also think it's more suitable for dry skin more than oily and combination skin.

Caudalie Cleansing Water
I got it for free when I purchased some Caudalie products on feelunique. It does the same thing as Bioderma does, but less effective. Bioderma removes makeup much more easily. With this cleansing water, I had to rub my eye areas with a cotton pad quite strongly, and that irritated my skin. It still didn't remove all my makeup off, which I don't mind too much because I wash my face with another cleanser afterwords anyway. It smells really nice just as the cleanser does, which makes me feel relaxed whenever I use it. I don't think I would purchase the full-sized one, just because I think Bioderma does better job.

HANA Organic Floral Drop (full review)
I'm not sure how long I took to finish this product. It's basically Rose Water with some essential oils in it. It smells absolutely fantastic and I love the concept behind their products. Their toner (this product) and moisturizer (here for the full review) are designed to use in the evening because it repairs your skin during sleep because that's when your skin barrier becomes weaker. It's pretty expensive and I don't think I would buy it (I received it as a PR sample a long time ago) just because I have other products to try out.

DSCN0172

Aussie 3 Minutes Miracle Deep Treatment for Coloured Hair (full review)
I LOVED this product. I usually keep switching over my haircare products depending on my mood but I couldn't resist using this one every single day until I finished it completely. I enjoyed using this product so so so much and I'm hoping to get some bottles when I come to the U.K. next time (which is pretty soon actually!).  I wasn't a big fan of the scent which was too peachy and artificial, but I loved how it made my hair so soft, smooth and voluminous. With this hair treatment I didn't have to worry about styling my hair at all. It's a magical product seriously! I don't care the fact it's packed with silicone and polymer, it worked really well on my hair.

Redken Scalp Relief Shampoo (full review) This is another fabulous haircare products! When I was using this product, I didn't think it was anything special. Yes it did kill itchiness on my scalp but I thought that was because my scalp became less sensitive and calmer. But once I finished the first bottle, my scalp started itching again. I repurchased it from lookfantastic.com because somehow feelunique didn't allow me to buy it from Japan. Thank god lookfantastic did allow me to, otherwise I was going to have to live with my itchy scalp. Once I started using this product again, my scalp became calm again.

Tocca Laundry Delicate
It's not a beauty product but I had to include it here! Is it even popular in other countries? I believe it's from the U.S. but I've never seen anyone talking about this product outside of Japan. It's a laundry soap from the brand Tocca, and this small bottle costs 2500yen or so. I always buy it online so that it's much cheaper, but still it was 1300yen or something like that. The reason why I keep buying their laundry soap is because of the amazing scent. There are 4 different scents and my favourite is this "Florence" one. It smells like "In Love Again" perfume from YSL for me, and the scent isn't too strong but not too subtle. I don't use it to wash my clothes but my pillow cover, tights, underwear and my makeup brushes (I'm not sure if that's OK to do so but they're not animal bristles so should be OK). I use a tiny tiny amount at a time and this bottle lasts for more than 6 months. I already repurchased two bottles. One is Florence and another is Cleopatra. I will talk about them another day!

DSCN0187

Caudalie Lip Conditioner (full review)
I have repurchased this product twice or three times already. It's moisturizing enough for my dry lips and I also like the subtle vanilla scent of it. I'm not going to repurchase this time just because I have EOS one which I've been enjoying using recently.

URIAGE Lip Balm
I got it from my local drugstore, it's pretty expensive (1,040yen) for a tiny lip balm but it really works. I'm sure I spent more than 20,000yen on this lip balm in the past because this was the ONLY lip balm which worked for me before I met Caudalie and then EOS. It's got a vanilla scent too which I like.

Aveda Invati Shampoo and Conditioner
These were just small samples I got when they launched this series in Japan. It's supposed to
refresh your scalp and remove the daily build ups, and I think it works OK. The formula is really loose and looks like curry, which was a little bit gross. But fortunately it smells of herbs so please don't worry, it doesn't smell of curry. I liked both shampoo and conditioner but am not going to purchase the full-size ones just because they're pretty expensive and I have better ones for cheaper prices.

iMPRIME Repair Method
I got the whole set of the range in small bottles as a PR sample. You wash your hair with normal shampoo, then pat it dry with a towel and spray the "Base 0" all over your hair. Then apply Repair method 1 which is in the red bottle, then apply Repair method 2 which has two different formula, one is called α which is in the green bottle and another is called β which is in the blue bottle. α is for a smooth finish, and β is for drier and more damaged hair. They all smell AMAZING, I loved the scent so much. It smells like a salon if that makes sense, I think it's grapefruit and some herbs which bring out this fresh scent. It really worked and made my hair silky and soft. I don't think I would purchase them ever because when I buy them in bigger bottles, it costs about 10,000yen in total. I simply cannot afford them, but I really really love the products.

I hope you enjoyed it! x

EOS Lip Balm

DSCN0165

EOS Lip Balm $3.79 each at Vitacost.com

Are you familiar with these lip balms? Yes I finally got them! I heard many good things about EOS lip balm and I also heard Balmi was not as good as EOS, so I picked them up without any hesitation when I found them on Vitacost.com. I got two different flavours so I'm going to talk about them individually now!

DSCN0138
This one is called strawberry sorbet. I couldn't resist it because it's pink and pretty, and also I love strawberry flavour.

DSCN0150

Look at it, doesn't it remind you of Lychee? It looks perfectly smooth and I really didn't want to ruin it! It smells amazing, exactly like a strawberry candy! I didn't expect the scent was this good. It moisturizes my sensitive lips perfectly and as long as I keep applying it on my lips a few times a day, they wouldn't get chapped.  Another good thing about it is that it's
95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free. You really want avoid putting lip balm or lipstick which is packed with synthetic ingredients as much as possible because it could enter into your body from your mouth. It feels disgusting to imagine that you're actually "eating" the lipstick packed with
artificial perfume, doesn't it?

DSCN0170

This is how it looks like after a few weeks. The surface isn't smooth and it doesn't look shiny anymore...poor my EOS.

DSCN0157

This one is called Summer Fruit. It really does smell of summer fruit, in my opinion it smells of the mixture of lychee, mango and pineapple...tropical fruits! It smells even better than Strawberry Sorbet, perfect for summer. I love love love this scent, there's no other lip balm smells like this!

Oh, I forgot to mention that it tastes good too. I know, I'm not supposed to eat it and I don't, but when I lick my lips unconsciously it just tastes sweet like a candy. Some lip balms taste really disgusting but you don't have to worry about that with this lip balm. I recommend it to kids as well, they would love it as long as they're old enough not to eat the whole package or something.  This is seriously the best lip balm I've ever used. I totally understand why people were raving about it! I'm sure I'll repurchase it once I run out of these ones.

I'm very interested in their new flavour which is raspberry I believe, has anyone tried it yet?

Bath soak with fermented rice extract?

DSCN0133

Yubela Bath Soak  1,800yen

I had no idea how to spell the name of this product but it's pronounced as "You / Bay / La" or something like that. Basically it's a medical bath soak which contains fermented rice extract which moisturizes your skin and prevents dryness. This bath soak cures poor circulation, stiff shoulder, nerve pain, pimples, tiredness, bruise and chapped skin

DSCN0055

At first I thought it was just a traditional (and a bit tacky) bath soak, but believe me, it's just AMAZING. It really does work. I've always got cold hands and feet because my circulation must be so poor, and they gets cold again 10 minutes after I've been out of the bathtub. But this bath soak keeps me warm for more than an hour which is a miracle. The herbal scent is very relaxing and soothing as well.

This 600ml bottle costs 1,800yen and that's a little over my budget but I wouldn't mind purchasing it during winter and use it about once or twice a week for a little pampering. If you are suffering from any serious problems like poor circulations or chapped skin or stiffed back / shoulder, you may want to choose something medical like this one! I am really enjoying this bath soak and am looking forward to having a bath with it tonight!

What's your favourite bath soak / salt?

Garnier Intensive 7 Days Nourishing Lotion

DSCN0186

Garnier Intensive 7 Days Nourishing Lotion £4.99

I always wanted to try something from Garnier. I had heard and seen many bloggers mentioning about their concealer, BB cream, beauty oil etc. I picked this one up from feelunique.com because I wanted to try something which I use on my body instead of my face just in case it irritates my skin. I have gotten rash on my face from some cosmetics in the past so I always have to be careful not to use a skincare item which contains some strong / harsh ingredients. When the product is pretty cheap, there is a reason. Normally it's because they contain very cheap ingredients, and that means (most of the time) they are pretty harsh. I don't mean to be rude to drugstore cosmetics at all but that's the reason why I usually try a bodycare item before I try a skincare item from any drugstore cosmetics.

Garnier has some different types of body lotion. This one contains cocoa butter, and is made for dry and rough skin. There are Sheer Butter which is made for dry and extra dry skin, Mango for Dry skin, Calming Honey for Sensitive skin and Aloe Vera for Normal skin. There are some other ones with a fake-tanning effect, and some super moisturizing ones. I chose this one just because of the scent.

DSCN0184

Apparently this body lotion keeps your skin nourished and moisturized even 7 days after your last application...after  twice daily application for 4 weeks. I'm not sure how that works and I don't think I can ever feel that effect because I like switching my body lotion all the time depending on my mood. It's impossible for me too stick to just one body lotion.

DSCN0190

This is a very light yet moisturizing body lotion which smells very nice. It smells like cocoa / vanilla / honey which smells just like the honey shampoo from The Body Shop which is discontinued. I really loved that scent so I was very happy when I noticed that this body lotion smelled exactly the same! It's not overpowering at all but does leave a sweet scent on my skin. It is moisturizing and prevents dryness for sure without making my skin greasy. I can dress right after the application because it sinks in pretty quickly. The only problem I have with this product is the size. I believe they have it in a smaller bottle but feelunique only had this size which is 400ml and it's pretty huge!! I'm not sure if i can ever finish using it

I'm very interested their BB cream, and there are two different ones I believe. Have you ever used them? Did you like them? Let me know! x

Leivy Double Moisturising Body Shampoo

DSCN0078

Leivy Double Moisturising Body Shampoo 480yen

As you may have noticed I love bodycare products. I switch my body lotion and shower gel every day depending on my mood and I cannot stick to one item. But this body soap is the one I've been using fore more than 2 weeks. Every single day. It's called Leivy and I believe it's pretty new. It's made in Malaysia but I'm not sure if it's sold over there or it's made for Japan. It contains goat milk which is moisturizing and nourishing. I love how it keeps moisture on my skin and how long lasting it is. It smells like a traditional soap in my opinion, like a traditional soap bar from my grandma's house. According to the website the top note is Yuzu, Ylang Ylang and Orange, middle note is Rose, Jasmine and Neroli, the base note is Musk, Vanilla and Sandalwood. It smells pretty strong in the shower but it leaves the amazing scent on my skin. It smells a bit different on the skin, it's fresher and cleaner. I didn't expect myself to like this product but I clearly saw the difference on my skin which impressed me a lot. My skin is usually very dry after taking a bath but when I use it it feels completely different. It makes my skin moisturized and smooth like no other shower gel does. It's very cheap, smells good and does what the name claims. I would repurchase it once I run out of the one I'm currently using. Good job Leivy!

Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Body Milk

DSCN0193

Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Body Milk  £10.00

As I mentioned before, I love Soap and Glory The Breakfast Scrub which smells exactly like maple syrup. But it only leaves a subtle scent on my skin afterwords, and when I put body lotion (mostly balance me rose otto body cream) the amazing scent would just fade away. I was wondering why they didn't make the matching-scented body lotion (and ideally shower gel as well) with The Breakfast Scrub. And then I found this one, Smoothie Star Body Milk, which was launched in the last autumn. I immediately bought it and have been enjoying using it since then.

I wouldn't say it's the matching scent with the scrub but I can say that it's in the same category as the scrub's in. It smells of almond, oat and brown sugar which I only recognize oat. It's got this unique natty scent in it which is pretty strong at the beginning and fades after a certain amount of time.

DSCN0199

It contains cocoa butter, shea butter, coconut oil, oat, yogurt and honey. That does sound yummy doesn't it? It smells pretty sweet so I don't think I would use it in summer especially in Japan because it would make me (and people around me) sick because of the humidity and the hot temperature. But in winter it smells absolutely gorgeous and I am totally in love with it. It hydrates my skin and prevent dryness which is good enough. It contains silicon and that's the only thing I don't like about this product, not only silicone is bad for your body but also I just don't like the feel of it. It leaves this weird "extra smooth" feeling on my body. Besides that this is a very good body lotion I think!

I cannot wait to have a sniff of some other S&G products especially Sugar Crush! What's your favourite S&G product? :)

Palmer's Cocoa Body Scrub

Palmer's Cocoa Body Scrub £4.49

I don't know why but I LOVE scrubs. Both facial and body scrubs really attract me. I purchased this body scrub from feelunique.com because I wanted a sweet-smelling body scrub. I still love The Breakfast Scrub from S&G but I wanted something different, which is cheaper and easier to get hold of.

I've seen Palmer's Body Lotion being sold in Japan but I didn't know that it's that cheap in the U.K.! This body scrub was only 4.49 pounds which is a pretty good deal considering the size of the jar.

It's described as below  on feelunique;
Reveal younger looking skin with Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Cocoa Body Scrub. This unique formula contains pure Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Vitamin E and natural crushed cocoa beans which moisturise, refine and polish skin.

It sounds gentle and nice, doesn't it? I'd never tried body scrub with cocoa butter and shea butter before. When I opened the lid I was impressed by the scent. It smells of cocoa and vanilla with a hint of a floral scent. And the consistency looked interesting! It looked different from any other body scrubs I'd ever tried!

It was harder than I expected. It looks like ice cream in this photo!

It feels pretty mild on my skin which makes it possible to use it more oftenIf you are expecting this scrub to remove all the dead skin cells on your skin surface and makes your skin soft and smooth, you might get disappointed. But if you feel that salt / sugar scrubs are harsh on your skin and are looking for a milder one, you will like it.

It leaves my skin smelling good and the cocoa scent lasts petty long. It makes my skin feel smoother but not as much as NEOM sugar scrub does. In my opinion, scrubs with salt or sugar soaked into plant oils work the best in terms of effectiveness. But they have some downsides as well, for example they make the bathroom floor so greasy and slippery. And I am not a big fan of the oily finish in summer although it's very nice in winter. And I especially don't like salt scrub because you can imagine what happens when you have a tiny cut on your legs or fingers, right? It hurts like hell!!! And salt scrub feels pretty harsh on my skin. So I use NEOM sugar scrub for extra moisture and a stronger exfoliation. I use Palmer's and S&G's daily, for a milder exfoliation. And also to enjoy the scent! :)

Have you tried any products from Palmer's?

Nourish Golden Glow Toning Soufflé

Nourish Golden Glow Toning Soufflé £24.95

You may have heard of this product already but I HAVE TO talk about it too because it's such a unique product! I talked about this brand Nourish the other day hereintroducing their skincare range. This product I'm going to talk about today is a very unique body cream made with organic ingredients.

First of all, I absolutely love the packaging. All of their products look so pretty but look at the jar, it looks cute! Basically this cream has shimmer in it and it gives a healthy sun-kissed glow on your skin.

I have no idea why it looks lumpy, I was a bit surprised to see the consistency of the cream when I opened it for the first time. Another big thing which surprised me in a good way was the scent. It's got frankincense, Neroli and Myrrh essential oils which makes it smell so good! The smell is not too strong at all which made me want to use it every day but considering the fact that it's got shimmer in it, I don't think I'm supposed to put it before bed...

Can you see the subtle glow with gold shimmer? It doesn't have big glitters which are so obvious, it's more like a natural sun-kissed glow. I apply it only around my collarbone in this season just because that's the only part not covered by clothes but I would apply it on my arms and legs in summer which I'm looking forward to!

Body cream which has got shimmer in it made with organic ingredients is pretty rare. I have used many organic beauty products but they all are basic stuff. This product is in between makeup and bodycare which is pretty unique and I admire the idea. It's like BB cream for body, isn't it? I love everything about this product!
