I used to have quite tough skin. I tried many different cosmetics and my skin didn't react in a bad way at all. But last year, I remember it was around autumn, my skin started to look a bit different. I found pores, small pimples on the center of my cheeks which kept coming back one after another.
First I thought some of my skincare products were not suitable for my skin, so I tried different items. Didn't change a thing. I kept trying out new things. I tried some products which are specially for sensitive skin. Didn't work. I knew the fact that you should keep using one item for more than 28 days because that's the cycle of regeneration of skin but I couldn't be patient! For more than 6 months, nothing worked. Even my friends and family noticed. I went to see my skin doctor and tried out their cream. Didn't work.
That changed magically when I went to London in June. I happened to be introduced to this moisturizer. I was really careful about what to put on my skin at that time, and I didn't want my pimples to get worse no matter what. I tried just a little bit, but the air was too dry to resist putting enough moisturizer. After three days, my pimples were gone. Not completely, but mostly. I was shocked. I didn't hesitate to purchase it before I came back to Japan. After doing some research, I found out that I couldn't get it in Japan. So, I ordered another bottle.
This is the magical moisturizer. It's 34 pounds, which is not cheap -for me it's quite expensive-. But it's worth it. When I was back in Tokyo, I had some pimples back on my cheeks. My skin condition was much better than the time I left Japan though. I immediately started using this moisturizer, both in the morning and before bed. Then you know what happened? After ONE DAY, I could tell the difference. Just one day.
Since then I've been using it every day. It's been 2 months but I still have more than 60% left I guess. And I haven't had pimples that stand out for 2 months.
It spreads on your skin really well because of the milky texture. It's unscented because sometimes perfume including essential oils could cause skin irritation for those who have sensitive skin. I adore scented skincare products and I even enjoy caring for my skin just because of lovely scented items. I didn't like this "unscented smell" at the beginning, but now I'm used to it. It smells of ingredients such as oils or some plant extracts. It really smoothen and hydrate my skin. I'm not sure if it's enough in winter as I have quite dry skin, but for summer I don't need to apply any cream after this.
This product is now the most essential one in my skincare routine for sure. If you are suffering from unexplained spots, try it out. It really saved me, now I enjoy makeup again. Aveda, they offer the starter set for this all-sensitive collection. You can shop here.
I actually have their cleanser as well which I didn't like much. It just stinks of oils and I have to hold my breath to wash my face which I wouldn't recommend.
If you have a favorite item of Aveda, please share that with me :)
