Vegetarian magazines

This is my favourite vegetarian magazine. I tried Vegetarian Times before but I didn't like it much. My husband bought Cook Vegetarian Magazine when he was back in London, and as soon as I read it I fell in love with it. This magazine is just so much fun to read, much more useful than Vegetarian Times.

Being a vegetarian in Japan is really hard. Fish extract is a must in Japanese food. You cannot find vegetarian food at a restaurant, so you need to ask for special menu or to hold meat or fish from the dish. Most of ready-made foods contain chicken or fish extracts. That's why I cook a lot at home, it's the easiest option.

This is the one and only vegetarian magazine in Japan. It's called Veggy Steady Go! which I think is such a ridiculous name. Most of the pages are advertisements which makes this magazine so boring. I don't even like Japanese recipe books, because I just don't like their sense of art. I've bought this magazine only once or twice, when they have interesting feature articles.

I've got many vegetarian recipe books as well, which I might write about soon! What's your favourite cooking magazine?
