I will be back soon!
Friday 2 October 2015
Hello! I hope there is someone reading this post. It's been about 2 months since I wrote my previous post. At that point, I was very sick (it took me more than one month to get over a cold, plus I broke my bones by coughing in the end!), super overwhelmed with all the tasks I had to get done before leaving for the UK, and I got criticised about something totally childish, and I just got tired of everything that I needed some time to gain my passion towards blogging.
The rest of August was amazing, I had a wonderful time in my favourite city in the world. I spent time with my loved ones, and every moment of it taught me that I should be who I am, and never change for an odd reason. Also as I bought so many beauty products, I kind of missed blogging in English.
After coming back to Tokyo, I started blogging constantly in Japanese. But I was too busy being sick, juggling work and writing articles, doing housework, taking care of some family issues....which did not leave me time to blog in English.
However, I am working on something right now. I decided to transfer my blog to Wordpress from Ameblo for various reasons -which I'm struggling SO MUCH that I almost cried 100 times already- and eventually I want to combine both English and Japanese blogs together. I don't know if it's possible to only show Japanese posts on one page and English posts on another, but it would be more convenient and that's what I am aiming for...which might take years for me to figure out how to do this.
In the meantime, I decided to change the design on my blogger page, and I absolutely love the new design that instantly made me want to start blogging again! How silly am I? But I am that simple, and I like it. Okay?
Anyway, I think I'm ready now. I hope I am. I am still very busy, but I will start blogging in English soon. Thanks for those who left a comment on my social media accounts saying that you were missing my blog, I didn't expect that at all so I was very happy to hear that there were people actually enjoying my blog, and waiting for me to start again. It meant a lot to me, thank you.
See you very soon!
Goodies from Australia!
Friday 16 November 2012
I received a lovely package from Australia the other day!! The sender was Mel from thebeautydispensary, who kindly offered to send me some magazines! We exchanged magazines, I sent her a Japanese beauty magazine called "MAQUIA" and tiny gifts and she sent me these Australian mags with a pretty gift!
As you may have noticed I love magazines like LOOK and Grazia, and I have read the UK ones but have never read the Australian one, so it was very interesting! I haven't read Shop till you drop yet but it looks really nice and I'm sure I'll love it!
This lip gloss made me feel so excited!!! It's from Bath & Body Works which I was obsessed with a few years ago. After I started Aromatherapy I stopped buying their products as they smelt a little bit strong as I was used to essential oils, but recently I'm into sweet scents like vanilla, sugar, almond and maple syrup. So when I saw this lip gloss I was like "B&BW! How could I forget about you?" and got so excited.
This one is called "Cozy Autumn Vanilla" which sounds really nice. I like the packaging as well, I like the combination of the purple body and the gold lid.
Here's the swatch. It's a clear-based lip gloss with glitters in it! And you know what, it smells SO good. I love this smell, as the name of it claims it smells of vanilla!! And it tastes like vanilla when I accidentally licked my lips with this lip gloss on.
This is how it looks like on the lips. I wasn't wearing lipstick underneath when I took this photo, but I often apply it on top of my Revlon Lip Butter! Actually I was just thinking of getting a clear lip gloss to pair with my lipsticks, and this one is absolutely perfect :)
Now I want to get some B&BW products, my favourite scent is warm vanilla sugar and I'm thinking of getting shower gel once I've used up the ones I have now...I actually just purchased Caudalie shower gel from lookfantastic, so I shouldn't get another one yet! And it's not fair that B&BW doesn't ship to Japan :(
Thanks so much Mel, I really hope you like your package too!
Aveda Eye Color Trio in Sea Grass
Saturday 27 October 2012
This is my first makeup item from Aveda to try out. Actually it's one of the goodies from Zanka from Zanka talks cosmetics, and I absolutely love love love this eyeshadow!
This colour is called Sea Grass and apparently it's a limited colour. Since I received it from her I have been using it non-stop. The pinky beige colour on the left is the perfect for eyeshadow base, it brighten up my eyes without concealer. And I sometimes use the brown colour in the middle on my eyebrows, because it gives this soft light brown colour and it's the perfect colour to fill my eyebrows in. I also use this colour on my crease or to blend stronger colours. Finally the blackish-bluey colour is less wearable than the other two colours but still it's not too strong so I sometimes use it under my eyes with gray or black eyeshadow.
Here are the swatches. I cannot describe how much I love the colours. They are not too strong, quite sheer but very pigmented at the same time. Again I absolutely love the pink colour because this colour matches my skin tone perfectly and creates the base.
The official website describes this eyeshadow as...
- Three complementary colours build and blend effortlessly.
- colour-true, crease-resistant and non-fading.
- Aromatic flower waxes and oils give a smooth petal-soft texture.
- Mineral-derived mica creates reflective, lasting colour.
- Formulated without parabens.
- Free of talc and mineral oil.
- Ophthalmologist-tested.
- Packaged in 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) clamshell and paper sleeve.
Small Samples Giveaway
Tuesday 23 October 2012
Today I would like to give these bags of Japanese beauty products samples to two of my precious readers. If you are interested in Japanese beauty products, please let me know then I will send a bag to you :)
One of these bags have these samples in it. My favourite is Samourai Woman Body Soap, which smells really really good. And I also love the brand "do Organic" which is a Japanese organic beauty brand, it doesn't smell good or anything but very effective in my opinion. I also love love love the brand called "Moe Moe" you can see the small bottle at the upper left, it's the leave-in conditioner which makes your hair smell good and so soft.
Here are the samples in another bag. The eye mask right is a very unique product. Basically you take it out from the bag then it warms up and a little bit steamy, which makes you relax. This bag has got my favourite shampoo called Via Organica, it smells really good.
Most of the samples have English writings on it so you might recognize what they are, but for those don't have English writings I will put a note on each so that you know how to use them.
I would like to do a proper giveaway in the future, with some Japanese products including Shiseido, DHC and some drugstore cosmetics!
To enter this tiny giveaway, please follow my blog and leave a comment and let me know that you're interested. It will be open until 31st October. It is open internationally so please enter if you're interested whereever you are!
Make sure there is your email address written on your blog somewhere so that I can contact you, or leave it / personally email me your email address :)
Goodies from Netherlands!
Tuesday 9 October 2012
It started from the conversation here between me and Zanka from Zanka Talks Cosmetics, when she offered to send me some magazines from Netherlands. I offered to send some beauty products in return, and we ended up swapping some products. You can check what I sent her on her blog post here.
Here are the goodies she sent me! They look interesting and I cannot wait to try them all!
I'm especially interested in these things, I guess they're facial masks (...right?). The packaging is beautiful and I really love the individual paper packages! They look really nice.
This eyeshadow from Aveda also looks nice, it's perfect for daily makeup. I might use the brown colour in the middle on my eyebrows.
I LOVE Weleda, and this day cream smells so good. It smells of fresh rose which is perfect for a busy morning to relax for a minute, and the texture is very light. And this lip balm is my favourite. It smells like vanilla and armond and I'm totally in love with this smell. It's the best scented lip balm I've ever used!!!
And some magazines! I don't understand a word, but it's actually fun to guess what it says. Some words are similar to English ones, so it's not so difficult to guess. I wish I could speak some more languages, that would expand my world more! It's also fun to see what's on trend over there. I think I'm a real magazine freak.
I haven't used all of the products Zanka sent me yet but I'm enjoying this goodies swapping very much! It's great to be friends with people from all over the world who love beauty just as I do and share passion with them. Zanka has been really nice to me since I started blogging, and I think we have similar tastes in beauty products. This is when I rediscover why I love blogging. So I would like to thank Zanka! :) I hope she's enjoying the beauty products from Japan too.
