EOS Lip Balm

DSCN0165

EOS Lip Balm $3.79 each at Vitacost.com

Are you familiar with these lip balms? Yes I finally got them! I heard many good things about EOS lip balm and I also heard Balmi was not as good as EOS, so I picked them up without any hesitation when I found them on Vitacost.com. I got two different flavours so I'm going to talk about them individually now!

This one is called strawberry sorbet. I couldn't resist it because it's pink and pretty, and also I love strawberry flavour.

Look at it, doesn't it remind you of Lychee? It looks perfectly smooth and I really didn't want to ruin it! It smells amazing, exactly like a strawberry candy! I didn't expect the scent was this good. It moisturizes my sensitive lips perfectly and as long as I keep applying it on my lips a few times a day, they wouldn't get chapped.  Another good thing about it is that it's
95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free. You really want avoid putting lip balm or lipstick which is packed with synthetic ingredients as much as possible because it could enter into your body from your mouth. It feels disgusting to imagine that you're actually "eating" the lipstick packed with
artificial perfume, doesn't it?

This is how it looks like after a few weeks. The surface isn't smooth and it doesn't look shiny anymore...poor my EOS.

This one is called Summer Fruit. It really does smell of summer fruit, in my opinion it smells of the mixture of lychee, mango and pineapple...tropical fruits! It smells even better than Strawberry Sorbet, perfect for summer. I love love love this scent, there's no other lip balm smells like this!

Oh, I forgot to mention that it tastes good too. I know, I'm not supposed to eat it and I don't, but when I lick my lips unconsciously it just tastes sweet like a candy. Some lip balms taste really disgusting but you don't have to worry about that with this lip balm. I recommend it to kids as well, they would love it as long as they're old enough not to eat the whole package or something.  This is seriously the best lip balm I've ever used. I totally understand why people were raving about it! I'm sure I'll repurchase it once I run out of these ones.

I'm very interested in their new flavour which is raspberry I believe, has anyone tried it yet?

Bath soak with fermented rice extract?

DSCN0133

Yubela Bath Soak  1,800yen

I had no idea how to spell the name of this product but it's pronounced as "You / Bay / La" or something like that. Basically it's a medical bath soak which contains fermented rice extract which moisturizes your skin and prevents dryness. This bath soak cures poor circulation, stiff shoulder, nerve pain, pimples, tiredness, bruise and chapped skin

DSCN0055

At first I thought it was just a traditional (and a bit tacky) bath soak, but believe me, it's just AMAZING. It really does work. I've always got cold hands and feet because my circulation must be so poor, and they gets cold again 10 minutes after I've been out of the bathtub. But this bath soak keeps me warm for more than an hour which is a miracle. The herbal scent is very relaxing and soothing as well.

This 600ml bottle costs 1,800yen and that's a little over my budget but I wouldn't mind purchasing it during winter and use it about once or twice a week for a little pampering. If you are suffering from any serious problems like poor circulations or chapped skin or stiffed back / shoulder, you may want to choose something medical like this one! I am really enjoying this bath soak and am looking forward to having a bath with it tonight!

What's your favourite bath soak / salt?

Real Techniques Stippling Brush

DSCN0024

Real Techniques Stippling Brush $9.99

FINALLY! I always always wanted to try out their brushes but I couldn't find a way to purchase them here in Japan unless I buy them on eBay which is pretty expensive including the postage. I didn't even hesitate to buy this stippling brush when I found it on iHerb.com because the price of the brush itself was cheaper than it was in pound and also the postage wasn't too bad either. I actually wanted their buffing brush but they didn't have it unfortunately and that made me pick this one up instead.

DSCN0037

The body is shiny pink which is pretty, and it has this rubber grip which helps it to stand on its own. I saw some reviews of this brush and some youtubers said like "Who would stand a brush?" but sorry, I would. I have a glass which I put all my brushes in but as this one is pretty big I would rather stand it next to my foundation. Why not?

DSCN0043

It's got taklon bristles instead of animal hair, which means it's vegetarian / vegan-friendly. The bristles are not too soft yet not harsh on the skin at all, and it blends my liquid foundation in perfectly. I was using a paint brush to spread liquid foundation on my face but it made it look uneven and patchy sometimes. This stippling brush doesn't do that at all, and instead it creates such a flawless finish with a small amount of foundation.

I am impressed by this brush enough to buy more of their brushes. I think I'm going to London in a couple of months so I'm definitely going to Boots for those! I'm thinking of getting their powder brush and some tiny brushes for eyeshadow and concealer. Which brush do you recommend? Which one is your vafourite? Let me know!
