Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Oil Free B.B. Cream

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Oil Free B.B. Cream £8.50

I'm going to get to the conclusion. I LOVE THIS BB CREAM. I hadn't tried any BB cream until last month when I received a PR sample from a Japanese company. Their BB cream wasn't that good because it made my whole face streaky as it didn't sink into the skin quickly enough. I tried my best to make it work somehow but it didn't happen. Right after my disappointing experience with the Japanese BB cream, I finally opened this BB cream which had been sitting in my room for about a month. I got it from feelunique.com and was waiting for the perfect timing to open it. And that's when I fell in love with this product.

It's very loose in consistency as you can see in this photo. I really think it's their mistake to put this BB cream in this tube packaging. It should be in a pump bottle for sure. You can't call it "cream" in my opinion, it should be called "BB liquid" although it sounds silly. Every time I open the lid, the liquid comes out none stop and it's pretty annoying. I put it in my glass jar that I put all my brushes upside down to prevent that annoying "accident" but it doesn't help at all.

Besides that, it's such a nice product. It doesn't get streaky at all and melts into the skin instead. Whenever I use this BB cream I get compliments on my "flawless" skin. It's supposed to be for oily and combination skin but I didn't find it drying at all on my dry skin. Just because it's oil-free, doesn't mean it's not suitable for dry skin as long as you moisturize your skin enough.

Overall, it's a must-have in my makeup bag now. I've been wearing it every day since I got it and it impresses me every time I use it. This product made me curious about other BB cream as well -what's your favourite BB cream? Let me know!

MyChelle Love Your Lips

MyChelle Love Your Lips Raspberry Cherry Pineapple $9.92 icon

I found this product when I was browsing Vitacost a couple of months ago. Actually it was their facial mask which caught my attention and I couldn't resist trying out some of the products from this brand called MyChelle. MyChelle is an American brand which uses naturally-derived ingredients as much as possible. Their products are not the cheapest of the world but many people left positive feedback about them. As I love lip balm, I wanted to try this one out just because who wouldn't want to try a lip balm which claims to smell of raspberry, cherry and pineapple?

First of all, this lip balm is huge. You can see that this lip balm is twice the size of a normal lip balm like Burt's Bees one. Whenever I use it in front of co-workers or friends, they ask "What is that, a glue stick?" and I cannot blame them. It DOES look like a glue stick.

But trust me, this is one of the best lip balms I've ever used. And I've used so many lip balms that I don't even remember how many. My lips are very dry and sensitive, and some lip balms make them even dryer, and the skin peels off and it starts bleeding. But with this lip balm that would never happen. It's such a gentle lip balm which I guess is suitable for anyone.

It doesn't make my lips too shiny which is good when I want to apply a lipstick on top. I found it a perfect base for a lipstick.

And it smells so good like a bubblegum. I don't smell raspberry but it does smell of cherry and pineapple. Another good thing about this product is that it doesn't taste horrible when it comes into my mouth. I hate it when a lip balm or lipstick tastes so bad even if it smells nice.

If you've got very dry / sensitive lips, you should try it out. Also for those who are looking for a good-smelling lip balm, I would recommend this one! Have you heard of MyChelle? Are you a fan of the brand?

Bodycology Shower Gel in Toasted Vanilla Sugar

Bodycology Shower Gel Toasted Vanilla Sugar $4.99

Hi there! I'm so happy to be able to update my blog finally after being sick for a few days.It was really hard having an almost-39-degree fever! Although I have gotten a flu for almost 10 times in my life, still I found it really hard. I'm still sick -although I'm working as I'm in this silly Japanese society- but feeling much better.

Anyway, back to the beauty product! The product I talk about today is something I'm really really loving at the moment. It's Bodycology Shower Gel in Toasted Vanilla Sugar. If you haven't heard of Bodycology, it's an American beauty brand which offers "A range of affordable, luxurious bath & body products in a range of diverse scents". Indeed their products are very affordable, for example this shower gel is only $5 for this 473ml big bottle.

Doesn't this shower gel remind you of another brand starts from B? Especially the name "Toasted Vanilla Sugar"? Yes, most of their products are very similar to Bath and Body Works. And it's much cheaper. Although they don't have as many variety as B&BW but the scents are very similar.

This particular product is very similar to B&BW Warm Vanilla Sugar. I had no idea if they smelled similar but I couldn't resist trying out. And the result is; YES THEY SMELL VERY SIMILAR!!!

I googled afterwords and found so many bloggers saying "This is a very good dupe for B&BW Warm Vanilla Sugar" and I 100% agree with them. I don't have Warm Vanilla Sugar with me now so I cannot compare but Toasted Vanilla Sugar by Bodycology smells exactly the same as B&BW one in my memory.

I am totally in love with the scent as it's not overpowering and not sickly sweet at all. It smells of very luxurious vanilla if that makes sense, I just love this scent so much. It foams well and a tiny bit goes a long way. I've been using it every day for a month now but i still have 90% left. It laves my skin smelling so so good like I want to eat it! It doesn't dry out my skin at all and my S&G Smoothie Star Body Milk goes well with it after the bath. It's cheaper than Warm Vanilla Sugar considering how big the bottle is, and I recommend this product for those who cannot get hold of B&BW products in their own countries.

It also has Body Lotion and Body Cream in the same scent.

The only problem with Bodycology is that they don't have a wide range in regard to the scents. Especially on Vitacost there are only three other scents. I'm interested in "Coconut Lime Twist" which I might try out next time.
