CHANDY CO2 Gel Face Mask (3pcs) 3,045yen
Today I'm introducing you to this award-winning face mask that brings your dull skin back to life. It contains carbon dioxide that increases intracapillary oxygen content, which helps the skin's turnover by improving blood circulation. It also contains honey extract, Asian ginseng extract, soybean seed extract and some other plant extracts to the effect of carbon dioxide.
This box has 3 sets of the face mask. It's not something that comes in a tube or tub, which you can open and use instantly, it's a fresh face mask that you make each time.
This is the base, which looks and fells like jelly but does not particularly smell good.
Add the granulated powder...
And mix carefully not to do it perfectly.
Can you see that it looks kind of puffy (if that the word? Or expanded?) ? You can even hear the small sound like fizzy water at this stage.
It literally looks like champagne jelly or something (except the smell). I apply it on my skin and wait for 15-20 minutes, then rinse off. It's a very thick consistency and stays on where you applied without dripping off. I had tried some face masks that contains carbon dioxide before but they all stung and made my skin red. That's not always a bad thing, as it improves your blood circulation which means your skin can get flushed, but I felt quite uncomfortable with the sensation. Whereas this mask, doesn't sting at all which makes it super easy to wait for 20 minutes.
Once you rinse off with warm water, you skin feels like baby's. When I first used this mask, I applied it only on the left half of my face to see the result. It was clear that it worked amazingly, as I could feel the difference on my skin. The left half of my face felt so smooth and plumped, whereas the skin on the right half felt much thinner than the one on the left if that makes sense...like a pancake and a crape!
My mum also tried it with me once, and she loved the effect it gave too. She was amazed how moisturised and plumped her skin felt. We both got addicted to this fabulous face mask, although it's not a purse-friendly product to be honest. You can buy a tube of Origins Drink Up Intensive which you can use like 30 times if not 50 times at the same price. But trust me, this face mask is a magic!!
Have you tried any face masks that contains carbon dioxide? Did it work for you?
Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in Peche Cosy

Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick Peche Cosy £7.99
This is one of the most beautiful and unique shades of a lipstick that I own. I always wanted an orange lipstick but most of them didn't look nice on me, but this creamy orange shade brightens up my complexion and I have been loving it since I got it a couple of months ago.
It's a perfect blend of orange and pink in my opinion, with a bagey undertone. The formula is very creamy and it glides on smoothly, but you need to scrub and moisturise your lips in advance to avoid an awkward finish as it emphasises dryness.
It's not a lipstick you can apply without a mirror to look perfect. It's kind of like a milky shade that can look a little bit patchy. I always apply once and dab it with my finger to make sure it's blended perfectly. Then, apply a little bit more on the centre of the lips to give more colour.
I love the shade so much that it makes the whole look sophisticated for some reason. I also love the fact it doesn't have any shimmer or glitter particles, and it's not too glossy either. It doesn't stay on for hours as it's not a lip stain, but unlike brighter lipsticks you don't even notice when it's worn off.
This is my favourite lipstick this spring for sure, and I'm so glad that I came out from my comfort zone and tried this orange shade. It looks pretty on fair skin I think, and I recommend it to anyone who's looking for a springy coral lipstick!
Let me know what your favourite lipstick this spring has been!

COFFRET D’OR Makeup Base 01
Makeup primer is extremely important in summer, especially for people who have oily and combination skin. I have dry skin but during summer it turns to a mess. It gets oily around my nose and cheeks. My makeup melts once I leave my house because of the humidity and I have to keep blotting my face throughout the day. With that experience last summer, I had been looking for a good primer that I can rely on in summer.
Recently I'm enjoying this primer from Kanebo COFFRRT D'OR. Their products are sold at the drugstores such as Matsumoto Kiyoshi in Japan, but despite the fact it's a drugstore makeup brand, the price is on more expensive side. This primer is sold at 2500yen mark, which is for me a little bit pricey.
Mine is 01, which has SPF 27 PA++ protection against UV, whereas 02 has SPF 50 PA+++ protection which is especially suitable for summer. It has a subtle beigy colour to it but it doesn't show up on my skin. It blurs the pores while helping the makeup to stay longer on the skin.
It doesn't look anything special when it's applied on the skin, but you will be wowed once you apply your foundation on top, because that's when you can see the pores are blurred perfectly.
The only downside is that it's not suitable for dry skin. It was in February (I think) when I tried it on for the first time, and it emphasised my dry patches around my nose and made it worse, even. But now the weather is much warmer and my skin is less dry, it feels perfect on my skin. I wear it every time I wear makeup, and it's helping it to last longer for sure. My pores are hidden all day, until I wash off my makeup. It might not be suitable for those with dry skin, but if you're looking for a good primer that blurs your pores with SPF, this might be the one!
What's your favourite primer?
